Polaron or Anti-Proton for JHAS?

Hello all im on my way to creating a build for my future JHAS, after searching the web i did not find much on this subject so id like to ask STO member's who actually use the JHAS in PvP as to which is the better DHC Polaron or Anti-Proton? i am aware that the JH space set gets you a 7% Polaron damage but i really don't plan on using the Jem Space set.

This is how my build will be, it is based more for Criticals as i use 3 Crit Consoles along with AP Criticals

Thank you all for your valued advice

I have two bugs, one each faction. The Fed is set up with polaron , using the XII jem set. My KDF uses disruptors, the eng/deflector from the borg set, and an elite resilient shield.

If you go polaron, you pretty much have to use the the jem set to make it effective. And go ahead and pony up the lobi for the XII upgrade. The 13% damage increase, and the additional drain makes it worth it.

As far as the other, I favor disruptor over AP, but its just a personal preference. And those Elite disruptors are sweet.... if you can get them.

Yes may be worth it but i dont like the Jem set, and yes i was considering Disruptors for the proc and i do have access so they represent a better price/performance ratio, and if you saw my build i do like the Crit severity and shield penetration that the AP gives along with my 3 consoles

    Your input is well appreciated
    Thank you

The main reason to use Polarons would be to get all those bonuses from combining Jem set, Polarons, and Jem ship, if you're not going to do that then you miss a lot of the reason to use Polaron. Throw in the facts that you can't stack Flow Caps very high and PvP enemies have high Power Insulators and Polarons don't end up being a good option for you. So go for Rom Plasma, Disruptor, or Antiproton in that order, or maybe Phasers for PvP. (And FYI, your crits aren't all that good compared to what people can get these days, and you could really use a respec, since going into the red on armor and power skills isn't worth it, and you don't have any PI.)

If I had a Jem'Hadar attack ship I would have full Jem'Hadar space set with Polaron weapons.

Reasons? Making it as close to canon as possible. Also you can strip a buff of a target with Victory is Life bonus. Granted only a 1% chance per hit but still a chance that can help to kill something. Imagine someone shields going down and they use Reverse Shield Polarity and your attack removes it.

Edit: Another reason is Polaron consoles and weapons are cheaper and easier to get.

    From the exchange their are

Polaron Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XII [Acc]X2 [CrtD] 1,800,000+ Energy Credits better accuracy then any Anti-Proton weapons on the exchange and only Fleet Anti-Protons can be as accurate.

Polaron Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XII [Acc]x3 10,000,000+ Energy Credit no Anti-Proton weapon is as accurate.

All Anti-Proton weapons have [Dmg] modifiers and that is the worst modifier in the game.

I don't know about anyone but I would rather have Polaron Dual Heavy Cannons [Acc]X2 [CrtD] or [Acc]x3 or whatever that does not have a [Dmg] modifier.

Their is also another option Phased Polaron Weapons.

Disruptors has my vote. Don't use ap or polaron. You have little heals, not worth giving up you borg heals. AP takes a lot of crit to be worth it, disruptors are just awesome across the board
    Chive on and prosper, eh?
