so I'm thinking of going Rommie plasma and I'm going to use the Embassy consoles to do it with so I have to make a decision as to which console to use.
Shield emitter [+/- Th] [Pla] or Particle generator [+/-Th] [Pla]
I have come seeking counsel however a I know that particle generators buffs Warp plasma but I don't remember if they fixed it's ties to plasma weapon proc..
Particle generators buffs a lot of sci damage abilities like grav well, etc and some universal consoles if you use any of those it may be worth getting part Gen consoles to buff the damage.
Don't chose Shield Emitters. They do not effect emergency power to shields. They only effect three abilities, extend shields, transfer shield strength and rotate shield frequency.
Flow capacitors, or Particle generators are the only two science power consoles worth stacking a full rack of. Flow capacitors have a greater effect upon the abilities they buff then Particle generators do.

That's a curious statement.
Science Team - 2848.5
Extend Shields - 118.7
Rotate Shield Frequency - 177.3
Transfer Shield Strength - 788.1/224.6
Emergency Power to Shields - 1424.2
Add a Common Mk X Emitter Array (lower skill boost, but same skill boost as the Rom Emitter Array)...
Science Team - 3034.1
Extend Shields - 126.4
Rotate Shield Frequency - 188.9
Transfer Shield Strength - 839.4/239.2
Emergency Power to Shields - 1571.1
...and it would appear that all five skills affected by Shield Emitters (the skill boosted by Emitter Array consoles) were affected.

Yep, Particle Gens will buff Exotic damage.
As for Part Gens boosting Directed Energy, Directed Energy DoTs, Plasma DoTs...anope...no go.
alternatively, if you use Polaron or Tetryon weapons, have a Drain Build, or even just use a Plasmonic Leech, a Flow capacitor might be an option as well
Thanks guys, I'll do some testing with basic flow cap and shield emitter consoles and see which gives me the greatest benefit, might even run one of each and see how that goes.

i wouldnt stack a full rack of Particle Generators just for that reason, but i felt it was worth mentioning
to break it down:
Sci ship using Exotic damage powers: get the Particle Generators
Warbird: 1 or 2 PartG and the rest Emitters
anything else: just stack Emitters
