Hi folks, I've been playing the Ar'Kif-R about 80% of the time on my Romulan Tac, but slowly building my Fleet T'varo as I've moved along. When I initially picked up the T'varo, I set it up as a BO/torpedo boat with Disruptors and Quantums. However, as I've moved up the rep ladder I started outfitting it with plasma torps and as of now, she's a pure plasma torp build.
Now maybe using Quantums spoiled me for torpedo builds, but with my current setup, I'll do the usual buffing, launch my salvo, move clear of the blast, then go make a sandwich or take a trip to the head before returning to see how much longer I have to wait until the torpedoes hit. I've read up on pretty much all I can find on the subject, but I'm still undecided on how to finalize this build.
Initially, I'd planned to grab the Adapted MACO 2pc bonus for the +25% torpedo dmg, however, the Romulan/Reman prototype plasma projectile bonus looks interesting also. No one in my fleet or my social circle has the rom/rem bits tho, so I'm at a loss as to how much speed and def the bonus adds to the torps. I have the required doffs and shiny gear minus the pieces I've just mentioned to max out the plasma torp build or to revert it back to Quantums, but I'd appreciate any feedback or opinions to the effectiveness of the rom/reman set bonus.
I swap between the Rom Hyper Plasma and Omega plasma as primary fore torp and have purple Mk XII plasma torps and a bio-neural warhead with cloaking TB mines currently. While I like the never ending parade of torpedoes from the hyper plasma, it's pretty impractical outside the Borg STF's. Plus auto firing under Adv Battle Cloak isn't always the best idea when other baddies are around.

TL;DR- Romulan/Reman 2pc set speed/def bonus for plasma torp build or 2pc Adapted MACO with Quantums? Discuss....

Rem/rom only boost high yield torps. Won't affect regular torps or the rom hypwrs
