Confusion with IDIC tribble?

A few months ago I was walking past club 47 on earth spacedock, and I saw a vulcan on the side of the room, who was showing up as interactable, so I walked up to him and it came up with "Claim IDIC tribble", so I did, and I received a unique (gold) quality IDIC tribble. I've never heard anyone else mention anything like this, so has anyone any idea what happened?

    You were around during the European welcome week, anyone who was can go up to this vulcan and claim an idic tribble.

    New players however will not recieve any tribble from this vulcan and must now purchase one through the c-store if they want one.
    Well I can't forget a face but I won't remember y'all.

    It was the reward for the "European Celebration" back at the start of April 2012. If you logged in over that weekend, that toon is eligible to receive it. And the Vulcan vendor has always been the pickup point.
