A fleetmate recently purchase a Singularity Core from our fleet store. It awarded him the wrong core. Seeing as a ticket would fall on deaf ears and be marked up to player error.
I'm more curious if this has happened to anyone else?
I created this thread because the forums will only allow him to reply to threads. He can explain it in better detail in a following post.
Finally saved up enough dlithium and fleet credits to pick up an Advanced Singularity Core from our fleet dilithium mine. Wanted an Advanced Fleet Reinforced Singularity Core MK XII [SingC] [Res] [SCap] [SST], but after clicking buy it gave me an Advanced Fleet Reinforced Singularity Core MK XII [PG] [Jump] [ECap] [SST]. I know I clicked on the former... it's at the top of the list and not even close to the other unit.
I just want the right unit. The one it gave me is pretty useless for my healer/tank.
I've had this happen a few times before, but luckily not on anything as expensive.
It's happened to me when I was scrolling through the menu and bought the item I wanted too quickly. The UI gets confused and buys the wrong item. I had this happen enough that I've slowed down. I now scroll down to the item I want and count to 5. Then I buy the item I want. I haven't had it give me the wrong item since I started doing that. Not sure if that's what happened to you, but that was what was happening to me.
I would like the ability to refund an item purchased via Dilithium or Fleet Credits.
But only for say an hour.
Whoops wrong core, refund and try again.
Two Scenarios
1) You clicked the right Warp Core but had scrolled through all of them and the UI got lagged or confused.
2) The actual Core you selected gives out the wrong item.
I've done 1) a few times. But with buying commodities for the rep grinds.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
I used my replicator once to make a stack of some commodity and it made the one below it in the list even though it clearly stated it was what i wanted when I moved the slider. It happens.

I can add a relatively harmless UI error to the list, but I guess it's the same issue:
When I want to join a PvE que on my desktop computer I open up the PvE que and double click on the instance I want to join, for example "Crystalline Catastrophe". But it will ALWAYS make me join the very first que first (Atmosphere Assault atm). So, for some reason the UI doesn't recognize my clicking but instead interprets my double click as an action on the first list item.
There is a way around it, I just click the item I want and wait a second before double clicking. And, strangely, this error only occurs on my desktop computer. On my laptop (which is better suited for the game btw) it doesn't occur.

It is pretty much the same UI bug effecting everything, the worst is when kicking inactives from a fleet, it will highlight one name and kick another, you need to be very careful.
Perhaps the laggy UI is the cause of all the CE problems. Peeps are joining elite instead of normal because they're queing too fast...I let the list update the players playing number a couple of times before queing and the overspamming of MU ships seems to have stopped.
I've had this problem in many stores across STO. It sometimes has trouble with which one is selected instead of moused over, whether you double click or select or and hit the buy button.
This happened to me when I bought my first Elite Fleet ground weapon (I just wanted one because they look amazing and my boffs needed some upgrades), and it gave me a full auto rifle instead of the sniper rifle that I double clicked. Wrong modifiers, too. I was still able to use it on another boff, and I got the sniper eventually, but it was really annoying.
yeah my wife and I have seen this behaviour since we started playing sto again last year. So far we've only been hit by it when purchasing commodities and nothing expensive. At first we thought it was us, but there is definitely something up with the UI. For commodities anyway, I often see it say one thing but have something else highlighted.
I'll be fuming if I get the wrong core or something like that
SWTOR has a similar system where gear is concerned. You have I think 1.5 hrs to return something for a refund, but only if you have not equipped the item.
I've had this a few times with commodities. Never had the misfortune of being hit elsewhere. A cooldown on a purchase, especially with expensive items would be a really good solution, as I imagine the lag has been removed as much as they can possibly get it.

Strangely enough with the cores it does not appear to be some kind of lag.
I recently played STO with a buddy of mine. We were both sitting in the same room, so I could see what was going on on his monitor. The only way we could get the system to show him the right core descriptions for the right cores was to close the client completely. Otherwise it showed the same decriptions for several different cores.
Logging out and switching chars was not eough to get rid of this problem. So it seems there's more to it than just some simple lag in the UI.
I've noticed this issue while selling drops to vendors. I'd go to the 'Sell' tab, scroll down to the item(s) in question, click on the first one, then click Sell, and it would sell the first item in my Inventory (which happens to be the Nimbus pirate summon thingy). Fortunately I keep my Inventory open when vendoring drops so I noticed right off and was able to buy it back. This has happened a few times since.
I thought it was a new minigame...

As for a ticket...well, I wish you luck.
