Klingon Off Duty Uniform issue

Having issues with Klingon side toon off duty uniform. With my Orion when I try and alter either of the 2 secondary uniform categories I can select all the options and spend the EC to make the changes but once I select 'wear' and exit the tailor none of these changes are applied. If I re-enter the tailor the uniform in these categories has reverted to previous settings. I cannot wear either of these options or alter them. Only my main uniform category works. I received a message about something regarding the armor view ect? the first time I tried to alter the off duty slot uniform, but only that one time. Turning on and off the armor visuals makes no difference. Is anyone else experiencing this? Something I don?t know? Thanks...

Try it again today. There is a fix for it in the patch. Hopefully will have cleared it up.

The previous way the game had of implementing required you to by a "stock" uniform and apply in to your character, and then you could start editing into off duty or formal wear... In other words you had to shell out a bunch of EC first at the tailor, and then shell out some more. The Players Were Not Pleased! Even though tailors costs are pretty small compared to ant other ec costs in the game.. its the principle of the thing... that, and the process was very clunky, and at least KDF side changed a player character to one of the default characters. You ended up haveing to go through the entire customization process again for head, body hair color etc. If you didn't have any free costume customization tickets left could end up costing a few thousand EC by the time you were done as the tailor would first charge you to undo all of your customization to put a defaullt uniform on you, and then charge you to recustomize your avatar, and of course the new clothing.

Should have been done before the feature went live. *sigh* This sort of thing happens a lot with STO. Just roll with it. I swear, more bugs per 1000 lines of code then a pre release alpha of a microsoft operating system.... And if your KDF... and its a costume bug of any kind...they generally don't get fixed.

I am pleased and surprised that its getting fixed this time.. Though there is reason to belive that its gotten fixed because it was effecting Romulan faction charaters. KDF.. we seem to get an awefull lot of "Aw suck it up Klingon"

In a lot of ways STO really is a god awefull example of a MMO.. If it wasn't Trek themed... I would have found something else long ago. In spite of the "information" provided by the Dev team. Just be aware there are dozens and dozens of unresolved bugs in play if your KDF faction.. And about the only time they seem to get fixed most of the time is if they effect another faction... In this case the bug effected players in the new romulan faction, where the studio is hoping to generate a great deal of revenue, so it actually got fixed.

I'm beginning to think the Orion's getting to replace thier standard belt and loincloth with the belt from the risian flower accent pack may have been either a happy accident (for orion KDF female characters- it turns it into a bikini kinda sorta.. but with a real limited color palaette) or one of the Art team just snuck it in under the radar, and by the time it was noticed, it would have been just a tad embarassing to have pulled it. (I was the first to post up about it on day 2 or 3 of the summer event)

It's a bug, but you have to be very patient unless it's too game breaking for you and takes a lot out of your satisfaction. I'm saying this because I've had this for longer than just a few days, even filed a bug report. But Cryptic are slow for fixing this stuff.

It's also not a cat-race exclusive bug, I have it on my Klingons as well as my Ferasans.

Uniform slots get bugged and unusable, have for a while now (since LoR?)

One of mine just randomly became unusable on my orion... unwearable, unchangeable.. nothing had changed between one logon and the next, not even a patch, it just died.

Sent in 2 bug reports, 2 gm tickets, and no help. It's still broken.

    So have fun waiting. /sigh

Just to do a slight update - I recently noticed that I was given another costume slot for every costume slot that is bugged on my char. For ex., I have 5 costume slots out of which 2 have become unusable, but when I visit the tailor it says that I have 2 more costume slots availible.

I'm not sure wheather this is a workaround of some kind or just a side effect of the bug causing the uniform slots to be stucked and unavailible, but you guys might want to check it out it works for me so far.

On my first Orion gal, this is alos an affect I've noticed. Had 4 outfits become unwearable/uneditable/un-renamable. However, also was granted 4 more costume slots. So I'm guessing if the system notices you have a screwed up slot, it denies much access to that slot, but as a workaround, opens up a new slot for you. And it also only seems to happen with off-duty & formal outfits. None of the "uniform" using slots have bugged on me one bit.
As another aside, when I am wearing my off-duty or formal outfit, if in ground, the character selection screen will show my character properly. However, if I had logged her out from space, it will show her instead, in a uniform (My 4th uniform slot to be precise/last one I had made as a uniform) Just another weird thing I had noticed.

I am also having the same issue. My KDF klink was working just fine with 2 uniforms. Then for no reason the second uniform stopped working. I think it was working fine until the mirror universe episode that had me wearing an orange jumpsuit. Once the orange jumpsuit went away (the mission was done) I ran into this glitch. I have different facial hair for my 2 outfits, and while I was in the orange jumpsuit it showed the hair tied to the now-broken outfit.

So outfit 1 was normally showing, and outfit 2 stopped working after that mission, though outfit 2's face was showing on the mission ith the jumpsuit.

Then I was stuck in slot 1 no matter how I tried to get to slot 2. So I went to the tailor and was trying to edit it somehow. I went into slot 2 (which wasn't working) and was able to SAVE that profile. Then I went into slot 1 and tried to LOAD that profile. I was figuring it would fill in all the body details and face details, in case there was a glitch or something. So then it SAVED properly and WORKS. I can now still only see slot 1 in-game, but the EXACT same stuff is displayed in both slots, but one slot won't work.

A major problem is it hides the text buffer when you're in the tailor screen. Not only is it annoying but it was hiding errors that displayed in the buffer. It says error or failed or something, with a note about outfit having invalid items.

I scoured the details of the slot and it had nothing invalid.

Thus, I can only assume it's the entire SLOT that's broken, not the suit in the slot. Since I copied the bugged slot over the good slot with no problems, this is the only conclussion I can find.

    Found the problem.

It's the stupid Nimbus III missions. I know this for a fact this time. I ran into the costume slot bug on my first KDF, played it a bit, but didn't notice when the error happened. I did the azure nebula mirror universe mission right before doing the Nimbus III ones, so I thought it was the jumpsuit change that screwed me over.

    Nope!

This time i had to get the same missions done on my alternate KDF. Went through Azure Neb mirror uni mission just fine. Tried out the outfit slots when I was done to see -- and they still WORKED!

In fact, the outfit slots worked perfectly (using the quick switch right-click on my name context menu) UNTIL I beamed down to Nimbus III to do those tedious missions.

And since that point I couldn't change the uniform I was wearing on the ground. Not during any mission on Nimbus III, and not after leaving Nimbus III to go elsewhere. Even went back to Klingon Academy, went into the tailor and tried modifying the slots. Gave me no errors but would NOT allow me to change which uniform I was wearing.

It remains locked onto costume slot 1, which BLOWS.

Thanks a ton, cryptic, and your crappy programming.

It's a general bug and has nothing to do with Nimbus III. I lost the ability to use 2 of my slots while my char. was on Risa and haven't done the Wasteland story arc on Nimbus III yet.
Who knows what triggers it, but it's not Nimbus, at least not Nimbus alone.

That's rather odd, since it happened rather regularly on both my KDF on the same mission.

I can only guess that Cryptic messed around with what the character was wearing in some cut scenes on both of these new missions and when they were done they did NOT clean up their changes properly. Then some resulting leftover screws up the costume slots.

Since feds seem unaffected (or it would be fixed in a heartbeat!), I can assume that some item used by cryptic was fed-only and screws up the KDF slots.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds about right for Cryptic's track record with KDF.

ive only had it happen on my KDF characters. my fed characters are fine which makes me think that it's kilingon side only???

getting fed up with TRIBBLE that keeps bugging on KDF side. had naught but issues with missions & the outfits. my fed side is perfect. not 1 issue.

I am so glad this thread was here! I was going to shell out some Z for additional costume slots to see if that would solve my "stuck" uniform slots. Sounds like an unresolved bug unless Monday's update just happened to fix it.

Thing i've learned in almost 3 years about this game is that if its something broken on KDF side don't expect it to ever get fixed and if you do get something on KDF side if it works enjoy it while it lasts.

Still having issue with switching alternate uniforms on my klingon avatar.

Got four uniforms in total with the option of 2 more yet i canot switch or modify via tailor.
No matter how many times i try modify it still will not let me change!!! this is getting to be outragous considering all my other toons are not affected.

also Main Menu where you select which avatar you wish to control On my klingon side where you see you main toon, your boffs & your ship, i still getting to see 2 of my Boffs NOT 4!!!!
