recommendations for Cmdr. Sci ability

so what ability would you recommend for Cmdr. Sci slot?

Ship is Mirror VoQuv carrier
Toon is tactical and very less skills are invested in sci tree.
Ship is totally for PvE build.


I have read in doffjobs channel that Gravity Well III skill might get a nerf soon. If it is really true then what is the alternative?
Grinding for MkIV epic gear?

    I suppose if you can get hold of TBR3 you could use that as an alternative for holding enemies back...

    Siphon maybe? Or Tykens is supposed to be getting buffed in the near future (plus that doff from the CE project). TBR can kick butt, but if used recklessly it creates as many problems at it solves.

    I usually use Energy Siphon III - Nice boost to, well, everything really...

    siphon mixed with Leech can drain a sphere dry and give you a great boost to your energy levels

    tykens (after it gets fixed on holodeck), I hear its freaking awesome on tribble.

    Gravity well is great for bunching up enemy ships and popping heavy torpedoes from borg cubes :)

    TBR is nice, but it's very situational. If you can use it well then go for it. It's great CC and can be buffed up to do some great shield penetrating damage. If not, then you'll just end up pushing things where you don't want them to go.


    I say try all these powers out and see what you like. I'm currently using energy siphon 2 and 3 with a leech console and its great. I can keep all my energy spiked almost all the time. :)

    I use GW on mine, makes it easier to hit the target with torps and pet spam
