Hi
Vice Admiral Cyrus the Virus here with a quick question or 2.
I'm currently flying a Fleet tac escort retrofit and have a pretty decent "cookie cutter" build on it. I'm wondering if it would be more beneficial to keep the 5 phaser relay tac consoles that I have on it, or switch one out for a zero point quantum chamber. Currently running 3 dual phaser cannons(advanced fleet) and a quantum torpedo(advanced fleet) up front.

That said, what are you using in your other consoles?

But that 26% isn't total, it's base...an extra 50ish dps isn't much bro

I meant your sci/engi consoles. Surely there's something here to pitch...

cannot remember exactly what my warp core is but I believe it has A->W
and even then you are better off with boosting your ?3dhcs&2-3 turrets instead of only one torp, even if it would make a quarter of your whole dmg
Wait...are we talking about the quantum booster or the rom purple universal?

Quantum chamber = quantum torp.
Anyways overall get rid of the torp, run 4x dhc 2x turret 1x cutting beam. for consoles run 5x energy wep leech, tachyo (lobi), bioneural (lobi), zeropt (rom rep), and assim mod (borg rep). Get yourself 3 blue rom male tac boffs from an embassy that have superior romulan operative, 1 saurian with efficient, and 1 human with leadership.
Spec out of torpedoes.

dhc is better
So a dual canon will drain twice as much energy, therefore dc a drain 20 while dhc only drain 12.
Weapon power determines how hard you hit and as such dhc just hit harder.
Dhcs get a bonus 10 crit severity over dcs
Prices rates are determining as per firing cycle and since both share the same cycle, they proc the same amount.
The only controversy that I'm confused about is that when sporting 4/5 dhcs, there is some overlap causing misfires or something to that affect.
If you believe there is some sort of overlap/misfire then use 3 dhcs and 1/2 dcs to avoid it.

Hell no, you are talking an additional 4% base damage. You won't see any difference at all.
Spend the loot on keys so you can get lobi consoles. Maybe you'll win a ship
