So, I just had a new character in the romulan faction, and rather than doing my usual and buying the best stuff available in the exchange, I decided to restrict myself to in-game vendors for a while.
And I'm so glad I did. The new weapons (plasma repeater pistol, plasma charged burst assault, etc.) are just WAY cooler than the existing weapons I would have used. Unfortunately, when I got into the exchange, I only see the common mk I through IX versions.
Is there a way to get improved/endgame levels of those weapons, or at least weapons of similar uniqueness? I know about the plasma flamethrower, but I don't feel like grinding another toon up to romulan tier 5. What else is there, though?

Actually, he seems to be referring to the basic Romulan Republic plasma weapons, of which I think there's really only white quality thus far.
Unfortunately, those aren't them - they have the same model (which is way better than the old one, IMO), but different functions. They're still the same old weapons, just with a shiny new paintjob.
I'm looking for Mk XI or XII versions of the Plasma Repeater Pistol, Charged Burst Assault, Split Beam Pistol, Wide Beam Rifle, or Piercing Beam Rifle.
Look harder. Those are all there.
Okay, just to see if you were right, I unlocked the mk xi purple pistols, since I only had the mk xii versions, and they weren't there either.
All there are are Romulan Plasma Wide-Beam Pistols, Romulan Plasma Compression Pistols, and Romulan Plasma Stun Pistols.
There are no Plasma Repeater Pistols. None. Zero.
They probably mean the Dilithium Store which is completely different from the Romulan Reputation Store. The Dilithium Store is available to everyone except some items require unlocking a specific lockbox ship like the Cardassian lockbox ship and the Spiral Wave weapons.
Yes, that's where they are. Man, now I feel like an idiot.
