How do you fight in a war zone?

A simple question.

How do you fight in a war zone?

I'm doing the quest called "Salvaged relationships in the nuetral zone" and I'm wondering how to fight in one, since my objective is to do so.

The mission description explains to you how to do it. Travel to Kerrat in the Donatu Sector of the Eta Eridani Sector Block. Those are PvP matches and are repeatable. Just so you know, you don't have to do it.

PvP? I completed that mission and nobody came and attacked it. Only the Borg AI ships.

Basically there can be both Klingon and Federation players in it at the same time. They can attack each other while also trying to be the first to complete the mission. Whichever side completes it first is the victory. So perhaps its more of PvPvE.

In any case, just like all the Fleet Actions, the mission isn't very populated anymore. When the game was first released you would always fined a group on both sides in there fighting to win.

Well, I think that if they removed both the warzones in only Klink space then more Klinks would be in the Kerrat one...

The War Zone is the closest we have to Open PvP. The mission objective does not strictly require PvP to occur - but both sides are on the map, and if the other sides finishes first, your side loses and you cannot complete a run and get a reward.

The past 1-2 weeks or so, I thought there was a lot of activity in Ker'rat, but it might depend on which time zone and whcih tier you were playing. At VA level, a lot of people enjoy "PewPewing" there while waiting for the Arena or Capture & Hold Queues to pop, or to just farm the rewards from the mission or the NPCs.

A lot of people seem to be surprised by the PvP going on there or actively hate it. My advice: If you go there, expect the unexpected. Expect that you meet no other player, but also epxect that you will get "ganked" by 5 hostiles. Decide if that's something for you, and if not, don't bother, and if it is, join the fun.

No one - except gold farmers that need to run a business and exploit them - likes the bugs. And there is always talk of "nuking Ker'rat" due its flaws and bugs and the complaints. (Which leaves the question for the PvP community - taking away another pvp map and the only open pvp type of game we have? Will there be a replacement?)

And how do you complete such quest? I tried now for the second time "War zone of Klingon scavenger" and I just can't complete it.
I enter the system, I even fight the Borg along with other players instead of just waiting for others to do all the job.. We destroy 8 Borgs as we are told to, we destroy 4 hulks as we are told, yay, we can leave the system.. And it enters the system again with no progress, telling me again to fight in any war zone in Ker'rat (1/3).
Same happens with defending Starbase 24. I get some skill points even during the fights but it seems the progress is never saved. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

First of all, when you're doing a Ker'rat daily, you have to play at least 3 times inside the zones (scan, fight, reset). You don't leave the system, you just wait for the reset.

After doing so, you'll get your 1440 dil.

Oh, and you've managed to necro this thread from 2011. Posting inside a thread which hasn't gotten any activity after 30 days, well....

    Nerf is OP, plz nerf
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.

I'm totally new here and I can't start threads - this one was closest to my question, didn't want to spam somewhere else.
I did this war thing now many times, but it still says 1/3. I fight, I see the count down along with encryption errors and players' names, the screen resets and there I am, 1/3 again. Might this be a bug?
