Are the platforms still blowing up instantly after launch?
I've got the 3-pack shortly after launch, so I already got all the toys.
Anyway, do the platforms still blow up quite easily? Yeah, kind of. They are helpful in PVE's but not that good in PVP's or STF's (quick poof, high CD = waste of console space).
Disclaimer: This is not an attempt to troll, but an honest seeking of consumer feedback cos I've been itching to buy a set of them.
I loved them, I eventually continued with the Charal for the best balance between dps and heals. Got a consistent 7k dps with that thing (ISE, FA, pre a2b). The main drawback i'm having though, is it's turning speed and low powertransfer (caused by a bad spec, still need to do a respec). This is the build at the moment if you're curious.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

Is the wing cannon still doing weird dps (can't seem to get parsers to agree on how much damage they deal?)
Anyone brought a Kumari/Andorian escort into a CEE? How did that go?

No, they are surviving a lot better these days.
Dunno about Parsers but they deal solid DPS and vicious burst damage but they do not work quite right with Cannon Rapid Fire specifically and are slightly weird with Scatter Volley but not enough to make them totally useless.
You best be an Engineer if you are going to do that but it does work. The Cannon Overcharge is great for destroying huge clumps of Shards and the EMP blast is great for taking down Tholian shields in a real hurry.
Generally I find the Kumari to be a real damage dishing beast but it takes a lot of skill to use and is not very forgiving if things go wrong.
The kumari is a great ship IMO, but the console set is not worth it. The cannon overload have a good AOE burst damage, but dps wise it's bad, and it's best to keep shooting instead of loading it. The EMP burst can't drop an elite borg shield, and it's not that great. The wing cannon are not really good, and they only shine with a 3piece set.
I don't have the answers to your questions however, I never flew a Kumari in CEE, I do the Nukara hard mission during the mark event for my mark, easier, faster, and 50marks as reward.
The wing cannon don't do enough DPS to really grab aggro by themselves, stay close to the ship (if you avoid the core breach, they will to), and they shoot your target. But they can still be targeted, sometimes.
The wing platforms add a little extra punch, and feel kind of like this ship came straight out of an scrolling arcade shooter. I haven't lost them to much other than warp core breaches. That said, in spite of their quite useful powers... the platforms are a little flakey. Sometimes this is good(in that they'll hit targets they shouldn't yet be firing on), sometimes this is bad(Facing the wrong way at time of firing and EMP/OC going off prematurely, or too late). I haven't found this flakey targetting to be too much of a hindrence, but it is worth mentioning.
I've actually never bothered to run a parser on this thing, so no idea about that point.
To sum up my Crystaline Entity experience: Bring a friend with a grav well and rack up the kill counts. I had used a PDS to go with my 5 phaser consoles, great for mowing down fighters and webs.
EMPs are great for stripping recluses of shields, and the Overcharge can cripple or kill most NPCs in a respectable area. It's a great ship to bring to a CEE, just... watch the shards, you're going to be a bit flimsier than everyone else.
So, with all that said, I find that this ship is, generally speaking, worth obtaining, especially all three consoles, it's fun, effective at its intended goal(that of spewing projectiles in volume at high damage), and in spite of its somewhat flakey and fragile gimmick platforms, opens up some more interesting strategies for what would otherwise be the same old escort experience with slightly more big guns
The "toys" are gimmicks. The ships are hot. Favorite few escort I'd say.
..that said, I wish I spent the zen on the t'varo pack...but I'm a torp guy so that's the reason
The Kuamri ship set is amazing. I bought them when they first came out and have not stopped enjoying every minute of it.
The wing cannon platforms are fun, the Overload ability used with APA3 up is amazing...i actually one shot a JHAS in Kerrat with it.
I run the 4 cannons up front with a torp using Spread 3 and HY3 as well. The only complaint you will get about it are the idiots that own them or only one of them and are just completely incompetent..

So I'm an idiot ? Lol.
Anyway, I was talking about pve, you are talking about pvp. I don't know about pvp, but in pve it's BS. And since the op was mentioning CEE, I think he was asking for pve.
The overload is a great burst, and a bad DPS ability. I can have the same DPS, and even higher just by playing instead of using overload.

So, your calling me incompetent...i challenge you to post your build and a parsing. Prove to me that the toys are not just gimmicks.
I stand by that they are "flash" and not real boons to damage/dps
You prove to me that you can do "amazing damage" and great dps. I'll tip my hat to you and provide my build and a parsing of my usual non-toy 20k dps.
And by "toys," I'm talking about the full Andorian set with wing cannon
You don't provide any facts, then you are simply ignorant to the fact that the toys are bad(they aren't really bad, but they are definitely suboptimal)...try to avoid that in the future
For the wing cannon weapons to be useful, you have to run all other energy weapons as phasers, which I personally don't like. Maybe in PvP, but I mostly pve and use disruptors.
Dunno if the cannon platform console is affected by tac consoles but I would've thought they are (much like the bio neural warhead ap weapon is), so again phasers would fit better.
I prefer using other uni consoles to the ones that come with the ships.
I did notice that using CSV or CRF did two things to the wing cannon weapons: dropped the energy drain to 10, and also dropped their DPS in the tooltip.
Mind, those skills also do strange things to dhc's; they lose their inherent +crit on activation of either power according to the tooltip. Dunno if their power drain drops to 10 as well, can't remember checking.
Still, the sci version of this ship is the one I fly the most.
I like gimmicks, and I like using gimmicks to their maximum potential. To that end I love my Kumari wing cannons. There's a few things that seem to instapop my cannon platforms but they don't come up in Azure, CC or STFs. I love having what amounts to a sixth forward weapon.
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

Which plugin are you using? There are multiple plugins you can use.
It was easy when it was published as an event. Never really done it after that with my Andorian though.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.
