I have to say im finding a new love for cruisers, my toon is an engineer and i had loads of fun in escorts (mainly the fleet defiant) and the vesta, but decided to give my regent another go.
its amazing to fly, nimble enough to get from one place to the next decent fire power and survivability.
Heres my build
fore weapons 3 purple mk12 Nanite disruptor beams with various mods ACC and DMG and CritD wide angle quAnt torp
Aft weapons: 3 Purple nanite disrupor beams MK12 and KCB
Full Adapted maco set
Warp core off the exchange that helps aux power (cant remember all details) green
ENG console: Blue MK11 Neutronium, plasmionic leech tachkyokenetic converter and borg module
SCI: 2 blue field generators for my shields
TAC 3 blue MK11 Disruptor coils
Boff
TT1 Torp Spread2 BFAW2 APB2
TRACTOR BEAM 1 AND HE2
EPTS 1 AUX2SIF 2 RSP2 EWP 3
EPTW1 AUX TO DAMPENERS
DOFFS; 3 PURPLE TO HELP TORPEDO'S and tt cool down AND SHIELD RECHARGE AND ONE TB DOFF TO DRAIN SHIELDS
So what do you think so far of the build? i will give the Aux2bat a go but don't have the right doffs for it.
Also whats your views on the oddy, was thinking of getting the 3 pack and how are your assault cruiser builds different..

Even though people love the oddy consoles, I stepped away from them for being rather.. useless.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

Your commander eng station you could get DEM III for it, it's pretty effective on FAW A2B builds :-)

I also like the Ambassador Retrofit, but trading LtCmdr Engi for Sci makes it kind of quirky. Its also not available anwhere except as a fleet varient, and there are other Fleet cruisers that are more flexible. Very good ship though, I wish it was generally available.

It's a small DPS improvement but the cost is negligble, most people willing to help will do it for free, but throw them a couple thousand EC, it's just common courtesy.
2 or 3 Purple DOFFs for Torpedoes, DOFFs for TT Cooldown, Shield Distro and Tractor Beams?
That's 6 or 7 DOFFs. I know you only have 5 but I'm not sure where I'm reading this wrong.
Try this
2 Conn Officers to get TT to global, 1 Shield Distro, ditch the Tractor Beams and Torpedo guys you only have a single launcher. Now fill the last 2 places with Damage Control Officers and your EPtX should be near global so you can use both almost constantly.
Infact let's re-arrange your weapons a little.
4 Beam Arrays forward. 2 Beams Aft, KCB and Wide Angle Quantum also Aft. Your ship will have better oncoming attack with 4 beams and KCB on approach and as you turn to broardside you have 6 beams, the KCB and the Torpedo ready to hit the now weakened and soon to be removed shields.
Also since your broardsiding folks you don't really need the Tractor Beam, Polarise Hull 1 might be a more effective Ens Sci power.
As for DEM, probably only good with Marion and he's massively expensive these days.
For a Beam boat really try and get the Nukara console in there. It adds a [Acc] modifier to all beams and also improves your Eject Warp Plasma too. And I know it's a pain in the TRIBBLE to grind but it is a fantastic Beam boat console. With the Nukara console you'll have more than enough Accuracy for PVE so you can get [CrtH]x3 weapons for some nice punch. I actually find the [Acc] [CrtH]x2 Mk XII's to be cheaper but. Also Disruptors are one of the better weapons and tend to be expensive.
Now I could have told you to run out and get a bunch of super expensive gear, but I feel working with what you got is better advice. Not everyone can drop 50M EC on a build.

The Regent is a C-Store ship only... Zen only. It's a slight variant of the Assault Cruiser and is available as a free Rear Admiral ship for ranking up.
For the Vice Admiral...
600 Day Vice Admiral Ship token will get you a Defiant, Galaxy or the Voyager.
1000 Day token will get you a Chimera.

FACR works best with A2B build. doubling up your boff abilities is so powerfull, you never go back.
and no, you do not need a marion doff or 3 purple technicians to make it work. 3 blue technicians, warp core engineer, and a doff of your choosing is enough.

One issue with the OP's build I saw right away is plasmonic leech and maco shields. Thiose 2 items are not compatible, the shield will cancel out the leech. Best choice is go with an elite fleet resiliant if you keep the leech, or if you want the maco put something else in the leech's slot. either way works and always better to not waste the console slot.

he clearly wrote ADAPTED maco...so that is ok with plasmonic leech
on the other hand your build features a double TT1..which is useless with A2B. but then again with no torp launcher not much else to put in there other than maybe target subsystem X or beam overload.
and A2B2 is also questionable...
PH2 instead of HE2?? there is also no real reason to go that way, not only because you already have AP:omega instead of beta.

Your commander eng station you could get DEM III for it, it's pretty effective on FAW A2B builds :-)
