Please add 2 piece console set bonuses for FED and KDF

This text was created for a fleet mate who has not the permission to create it himself.

First I have to say, English is not my native language so excuse slips in the grammar and misspellings.

Most Romulan ZEN ships have a 2 piece console set, including the new Romulan Ar'Kif Tactical Warbird Retrofit, it gets 10% plasma damage bonus when the Plasma Quad Cannons and the Focus Singularity Beam are equipped.

This seems to be unfair, because the quad cannons of the other factions don't have any set bonus. Another reason is, with the 2 set bonus Romulan players can get better rankings on score boards with less afford in PvE and they have an additional advantage on top of battle cloak and singularity abilities in PvP. So please add set bonuses to FED and KDF consoles.

Examples for FED

Tactical Escort Retrofit (Defiant)/Dreadnought Cruiser (Galaxy X)
additional 10% phaser damage if Phaser Quad Cannons and Cloaking Device are equipped (Enhanced Phaser Relays)

Avanced Research Vessel Retrofit (Nebula)
additional 5% Starship Stealth Detection if Tachyon Detection Field and Tachyon Detection Grid are equipped (Advanced Stealth Detection)

Heavy Escort Carrier: Armitage Class
if the Phaser Point Defense System and the Photon Torpedo Point Defense System are both equipped their cooldowns are reduced to 2 minutes (Perfect Defense Systems)

Exploration Cruiser Retrofit (Galaxy)
+1 base turn rate +5% all weapons damage if Antimatter Spread and Saucer Separation are equipped (Enhanced Operation Systems)

Examples for KDF

Additional 10% disruptor damage if Disruptor Quad Cannons and for example Subspace Jumper are equipped (Enhanced Disruptor Coil)
Note: the only one that would not be restricted to one or two ships, so I hope the KDF will not be upset about the fact that fed would probably get more sets

Varanus Support Vessel
hull and shield heals are 10% stronger if the Barrier Field Generator and the Repair Platform are equipped (Advanced Support Systems)

I don't have experience with Klingon ships so I hope KDF players will add more ideas, for example a raptor set

Feel free to post more ideas for 2 console sets or set bonuses which are different from my suggestions.

    They get that bonus because of their power penalty so they have to compensate for the -10 all subsystems somehow.

    in my opinion the power penalty is for the battle cloak and the singularity abalities, the 2 console sets are a complete different thing

    Their power penalty was designed to offset the Romulan's free commander science slot (singularity power) and battle cloak. Instead consoles were made with set bonuses that countered their very small disadvantage.

    I like these ideas. I would not loop the weapons and the cloaks in as set pieces because they cant be transfered to all other ships though.

    Well thought out.. reasonable... not asking for anything that would be OP... hence, your ideas have no place in these forums! This is no place for logic, & reason! Just kidding ;)

    Every Romulan 2-piece set bonus is ship specific. The T5 console in the pairing can only be equipped on the ship it came with. Doing the same for Fed/KDF sets would be mirroring the same restriction.

    While I like the idea in theory, I just don't see any of the above being something I'd give up console space for.

    yes this is long overdue, lets give us a reason to purchase Fed/KDF ships again.

    Add Set based Warp cpres and Singularity cores to the existing ingame sets where applicable.
    We should have an Aegis Warp core, a Reman Singularity core, a Borg warp core, a Breen warp core, a Omega warp core, a MACO warp core and a KHG warp core.
    It should go without saying that these items should work towards set abilities as well.

    I would not buy something that I could not equip on all my fed toons and the most appealing of these I would want to use on other ships not the ones the consoles come on.

    Point defense consoles and set bonus could be fun on a vesta or other small and nimble science vessel and usefull on a tanking cruiser.

    I love this idea:

    Quad-Phaser + Cloack Device = Battle Cloack for the Defiant as the set boni.

    Some ships only have their retrofits either in the fleet store for 200k fleet credits like the Saber and Nova, or have free retrofits like the Vor'cha, I guess these would have to be added to the Z-store with new consoles if they do this, I'm not sure how that would be received if it happens. Maybe they could just add the new consoles for those ships in the z-store by themselves instead.

    The idea with "transfer the 200k FC ships to ZEN ships with new consoles" sounds interesting.

    Fact is that the 200k fleet ships aren't really good for a lvl 50 character. (like the veteran ships :))
