What setup would you prefer on a aux2bat beam Monbosh (sci captain) ?
Just can't decide between nanite Disruptors or Romulan Plasmas, I want to push dps and maximize shield bypass somehow.
I know using elachi weapons would suck because of that proc immunity, so...
I still say Disruptors, and there is 1 Elachi space weapon that is good, despite the proc immunity.
Elachi Dual Beam Bank.
Pop in a Beam Overload 2 or 3 alongside APO1 if you go the BO2 route. You can have a second BO2 if you use one of the Universal Lt BOFF stations for TAC. Your power will easily recover before the 2nd BO is ready. You'll still have enough room to do single or dual A2Batt.
Using the Elachi Dual Beam as the only elachi weapon on the ship, in conjunction with whatever other Disruptors you prefer works.
- The Elachi proc only will be used by that single Elachi weapon
- Elachi Dual Beam Bank + Elachi Proc + Beam Overload 2 or 3 = Hilarity
- As a disruptor weapon, shares same damage type as other disruptors, benefits from same TAC Consoles
- I'm wagering you have some of those Elachi Consoles. 2 of the set brings a 7% something Disruptor dmg bonus.
- The procs from your other disruptors will still be a seperate thing entirely and will not interfere.
- If you want a shield bypass, and you're looking at Plasma procs as the means, Elachi Dual Beam + Elachi Proc is superior. Again, the massive damage from a Beam Overload on this weapon, and if the proc hits, is far more devastating and is a single spike. That is more problematic for a defender to heal, instead of Plasma burns which are all magically whisked away with a single press of Hazard Emitters.
Really, the Elachi Dual Beams are the only worthwhile space weapon from that entire Elachi lineup, as far as energy weapons go.
As a supplement, consider Transphasics to go alongside this. Something to toy with.
When I first got the ship I used all the Elachi Cresent weps.
In Kerrat I went up vs a KDF cruiser and he couldn't get through my shields, I couldn't get through his very well either but the Shield by-pass and bleed through eventually won me the battle as I just wore down his hull.
One high yield Elachi torp took his hull fron %80 to %30 and that was hitting shields, so they are not bad weps.
Now on my Monbosh I played around and put Polorised, Nanite, Spiral, Fleet and Cresent Disruptors on it. It looked like a rainbow boat but did some cool stuff when they proc'd. Now that how I run it as it seems to really work well in STF's and Fleet missions. In Kerrat it also killed a few overconfident "Alpha" jockies. They are all Disruptors so they are all buffed by the disruptor Tac console and all the different Procs stacking up to do some cool stuff.

It's a 6x Beam array fit with 1x cutting Beam and Hyper Plasma or Heavy Crescent Wave Cannon depending which energy type I use, not convinced about the Elachi torp tho... and yes got all those shiny lobi stuff.
I doubt would work well with a single dual beam bank but yea that's one thing to keep in mind, instead of using BO I'm going with DEM 3 for extra bleedthrough (not having the doff yet).
If it wasn't the turn rate, I would try a cannon / DBB mix or something like that.

Also with dual proc weapons if one proc they both proc.
