'Disable visuals' on Jem'Hadar Deflector

Can we please have an option to 'Disable visuals' on the Jem'Hadar Deflector? As beautiful as the Jem shields are, the Deflector is downright fugly. On my Ody, for instance, it looks like a toddler had a fun day with a pink crayon.

Better still, why not make a *good* Deflector visual? You know, something 'wave-y' like on other Deflectors.

The deflector does not have visuals, the shield skin just happens to paste over it.

Now that you mention is, I think that's actually true (not in-game right now).

Ok then, can we please make it so that the skin of the Jem'Hadar shield doesn't 'paste over' the Deflector? Or simply give Jem Deflector its own skin/animation.

No, but you can turn off the shield visuals. The Jemmy shield isn't all that great anyway,...

Shield by itself isn't all that great, no; but the entire set gives me +13.2% (iirc) extra Polaron dmg.

Also, we're talking visuals here; and the Jem'Hadar set visuals are considered amongst the prettiest in town. Except for the Deflector, of course. :)

True, of the sets the JH does look the best. As far as the extra damage, would be useful I suppose, if you're polaron weapon's,... I'm not, so useless to me. As for the deflector, I never noticed much as I don;t spend a lot of time looking at the front of my ship.

In all fairness I should say that I do use the Jemmy Engine and Deflector as I'm just now starting the rep systems and I do not and have no interest in, joining a fleet. I like the color effects of the engine on my ion trails.

While the jem set does look really nice, I actually like the color display of the aegis better.

Aegis is always a bit too 'psychedelic/neon blue' for me. :) Although I did see a Fleet Excelsior, the other day, on which it looked pretty slick.

My klink uses the free jemmie set on his BoP with a full polaron cannon loadout. The set is pretty much perfect for the guy since he's specced into sensors and countermeasures. As an added bonus the ship looks cool as heck.

Saying that it could do with toning down on that 'crayon' secondary texture a touch. My BoP has no real deflector but quite a bit of the hull is coated in that stuff, so I see where the OP is coming from.

As for favourites though, my Fed main is quite taken with the Borg shield skin combined with the mirror universe hull. My fleet assault cruiser looks fab with this using the Imperial skin.

Ever looked at a scimitars Aegis'd wings? It's like flying a rave.

I love the KDF Aegis and am rather neutral about the Fed Aegis. Though I use the Dominion set seeing as I get a bonus err bonus with my dominion dreadnought.
