Hello everyone. I wanted to come and say I really have no clue what I am doing with this ship and need some help. I tried looking through the forums and got confusing advise so I decided to post my own thread. Here is my new ship as of today:

http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=skullleaderjemdreadinitial_4267

I am in a fleet and was planning to upgrade to all Advanced Fleet Polaron as Dilithium rolls in. My economics team is on it. But I am definitely looking for advise in two areas:

1. Bridge officers
2. Duty Officers

I just threw whatevery in the slots and am open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

There are some things I wouldn't do.
1st of all: you're pairing DCs with single beams, i don't think that's a great idea a) the 2 CSVs are a waste of boff slots for only 1 weapon, b) you dont get all firing arcs overlaying (what costs you some dmg), i'd suggest 2 types of weaponry: 1st DHCS/Turrets with RCS Accelerators [AllRes] from the dil mine, or (single) Cannons/turrets with Neutronium Alloys [Turn] to be more tanky or with [HP] to be even more tanky

2nd: i don't see the point of the tractor beam, polarize hull would be far more useful

3rd: as a Tac Captain, you might want to go for more healing, i'd replace EPTW with EPTS and A2B with A2SIF (but i admit i'm personally not a huge fan of A2B builds)

I would go for an Embassy Emitter Array instead of the Blue XII one, that one with the plasma proc

Last thing: PvE or PvP? for PvE the Tac Boffs are good, for PvP (especially for 1v1) you might want to go for CRF instead of CSV and THY instead of TS

    I hope i could help a bit :)

You can message me Brian@LordSCUM if you'd like to compare notes.

I have a plasma tank JHDN that I use for ESTFs and PVP arenas without changing anything.

Here's a non aux2bat build that will be amazing

    http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=dreadindreadnaught_0

3 damage control doffs, marion and a warp core doff

Marion and plasmonic leech are the big ticket items.

Marion is about 25 mil now

Plasmonic leech is 20mil...was 1.2 when it was on the lockbox lmao

go with 1 or the other...beams or cannons focus.

    if running DEM2...go with cannons.

tac cmdr should always pop with APB3, then APO2. after that, it depends on beams or cannons.

    dual TT1 in ensign slots

I'd run 1 embassy mk XII flow cap and 1 embassy mk XII shield emitter, both with shield procs since u will have only EptS1 to work with on shields

run 1 enhanced neut mk XII with hull buff and 1 enhanced neut mk XII with hull heal.

tachokinetic converter is always nice for a large ship.

borg module with KCB for 2 piece proc.

if using aux2batt, run 3 purple tech doffs. if running DEM2, get marion dulmer. last slot should have a doff that somehow boosts shields, either energy weapons or shield distribution doff.

I run almost the same build and hit up to 15,000 DPS with and avg of 10,000 or better. But the one thing I do is Aux2bat with all beams and beam overload.

First of all thanks for the advise everyone. Been a while since I have played with this. I am updating my build and before I go spend a whole bunch of energy credit and/or fleet credits wanted some advise on the Pros /Cons of using:

Phased Polaron Dual Cannons vs. the Advanced Fleet Polaron based on a DHC up front.

    Same with using

Phased Polaron Beam Arrays vs. Advanced Fleet Polaron Beam Arrays.

I have Special Equipment Pack - Polarized Disruptor Weapons sitting in my bank x10 but noticed that per http://sto.gamepedia.com/Polarized_Disruptor_Dual_Heavy_Cannons its affected by disruptor induction coils and not Polaron Phase Modulator.

I have two cruisers already so I am not 100% sure I want another Beam boat. But open to advise.

Phaser proc isn't that great for PvE as stuff either has tons of HP and proc'ing the Shields offline won't result in a kill or so small that you only have a small chance of proc'ing before it's dead. So, not worth loosing a modifier for Phased for PvE. In PvP a lucky proc could mean a quick kill, so more worthwhile there. Advanced Fleet [Acc]x2[dmg]x2 of either weapon would be good.
