Projected Singularity

Hi can anyone confirm that the Projected Singularity console from the T5 DD refit does NOT share a cooldown with Gravity Well?

I want to be able to use both at the same time. Need to know if this is possible.

Thanks.

I don't know of any console that puts BOff abilities on CD.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

Projected Singularity DOES indeed start a half-duration cooldown of Gravity well, and I believe the reverse starts a 30 second cooldown of Projected Singularity.

Projected Singularity's regular cooldown time is I believe 3 minutes.

(Can't check at the moment, maintenance etc. etc.)

I know for certain they fiddle with each other's cooldowns though, since I use a gravwell and both d'deridex/d'ridthau consoles on my fleet d'dex.

Projected Singularity and Gravity Well share a 30s global cooldown.

It's worth pointing out that I still run the Proj. Sing. console and a Grav Well on my D'Deri Retro, the 3m cooldown on the Projected Singularity means the Gravity Well doesn't really interfere with it (I run an A2B build however, so the actual Grav Well cooldown is rather shorter than usual).

Yeah shared CD on mine as well, pop off one starts a CD on the other. Plus the Singularity is a pain to aim, as even if your diving on a target at say a -30-degree angle and activated, it shoots forward at a 0-degree angle, completely ignoring where you're pointing. Thing would be so much more useful if it could at least be aimed properly.

Thanks for the responses guys. Yet another build idea ruined by stupid limitations.

Like my mine layer build ruined by a 12 second shared cooldown on all mine weapons. WHY???
Or projectile doffs not proccing often enough for a 2xDHC 3xTorp build.
Or pretty much any science based build at the moment.

Really is a case of "fit 4xDHC 3xTurret on an escort or GTFO."

    How sad. :(

These stupid limitations as you put them keep things from getting to insane.

Dropping DPB 3 with some mine and sweeping up with a TC or visa versa?
How many doffs did you use? You aren't expecting to machine gun them at the global are you?
Science unfortunately does really suck at the moment.

I wanted to run mines the same way you can run torps. With no shared cooldown.

I tried with 3 torps and 3 projectile doffs. Yes, with that I expected to fire them at global.

They only have a 20% chance to proc, you're playing 3 20% rolls it doesn't give you a 60% chance. Once again it comes to balance...could you imagine how bad a hull burn could get if you're chucking plasma torps at the global?

Not bad considering the rubbish damage of the plasma dot (even with plasma consoles) and the rampant use of Hazard emitters.

3x doff works out at about 45% chance of a proc. 3 torp launchers means an 83% chance for at least 1 proc over the whole firing cycle (3 quantums), which is all you need to be firing at global. Yeah, should have worked out a lot better than it did. Ability lag in this game is annoying.
