First, I am an engineer (Yep, i know, this thread is already off to a bad start)
I enjoy PVP but i need some serious help. I am looking for a group of players to join in semi-serious PVP with because PUGing is brutal (Especially when the other team has a dedicated recluse healer)...
I know i run a pretty tight cruiser build but i would love tips, advice, and new directions
eng trying to play dps cruiser with a2b, dem, and faw is pointless, only way eng is useful to the team is by going full healer build otherwise you are just taking a spot up that could have been tac or sci.
Use the Adapted battlecruiser as thats the best healer ship you have, or get a sci oddy, recluse, fleet star cruiser, or Wells.
I kinda figured FAW3 is pretty useless in PVP with all the super shields floating around, why do you use FAW3 instead of BO3?
BO3 Drains heavy on power, not normaly a problem for an engie, but with multiple beams it hurts you more then helps, your never gonna spike like that either. I say play to your strengths, which is consistent wearing down dps.

If he is running DOffs for the A2B he will cycle TT easily without a break, the second EPTS can even be removed if hes purple doffs.
pressure dps doesnt work in pvp anymore especially as an eng. playing to strengths as an eng would mean playing full healer build, which means no a2b, dem, or worrying about dps or using tt unless absolutely necessary so he can use st or et on others.
Best thing he can do as an eng is to just get in his adapted battlecruiser and use the cmdr as eng and load it with heals, aux2sif, ES, HE, TSS, ST, and ET and doffs like cd reduction doffs for st and the aux2sif heal proc doffs.

This. You have a great PvE build there that's pretty useless in team PvP. Dump aux2bat, and pick Aux2SIF and and Extend Shields. And switch your TSS and HE around.
Tac-wise, you'll definitely want APO1 instead of APB, and consider transphasic torps and TS as your primary offensive option instead of BO.
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

I am sorry, but I have seen countless galors stomping DPS out like its nothing. Then when you almost have them dead, they pull miracle worker...
Anybody who says an Engie can not pull DPS in a cruiser... has given up way to easy. Even my Sci can out dps most of the players I have encountered in PvP...
Here is a handy reference chart:
0-500 DPS Average Player (Does not do well in Elite STFs, and is very easily killed)
500-1000 DPS Intermediate Player with some PvP experience (Does some Elite STFs)
1000-3000 DPS More Advanced Player has participated in PvP, most likely Ker'rat
3000-5000 DPS This starts to sting, especially if it can be maintained.
5000-7000 DPS This is a PvP player, or at least has had a lot of experience in builds used in PvP. (I made my Sci fall into this category ~ 6000 DPS Sustained)
7000-10000 DPS This kills most in a few seconds, drops shields and intimidates a lot of players.
10000+ DPS This is hax territory here, if this is sustained, you are ripping ships apart.
Now, most engie cruisers can easily hold the 3-5k benchmark easily, thats with 3 tac consoles. You get one that has 4 and your in the 5-7k DPS range, which does win fights.
There needs to be no Ego issues here, these figures are yes pulled out of what I see parsing... But they are quite accurate. Engies can DPS, and it does sting. If coordinated, they can kill most ships in a few seconds.
Hey! While i wouldn't know the first thing about engineering *spits* but you are more then welcome to come and pew with us! We're euro heavy, but if you're lonely, oh so lonely then hop on our TS! You'll have to get the TS IP from the site in my sig as i'm at work and copy-n-paste on this phone is a TRIBBLE to do correctly!

Fair enough. Lets look at that build... Aux to Batt... Check...
DEM, Check...
Knowledge of basic build design, use of Defencive boffs... Check...
Have you Joined OPvP to look for groups? Seeing as your build looks pretty solid in like with what is effective in PvP at the current time.
Also, do not use anything over RSP 1, it is a waste. So run something like,
TT1, APB1, FAW3
BO1,
EPTS1, RSP1, Aux2Batt2, DEM3
EPTS1, Aux2Batt1
Tractor Beam 1, Haz2
Tractor is for holding those pesky escorts in your broadside, make sure to time it during thier omega cycle.
Also, i ditched your EPTW since Aux2Batt will about cover that for you, but you can of course veto that if you are running purple doffs.
Good Luck, looks like you know what you are doing, so have fun. And I play Klink or I would team with you.

Fleet Torkaht, that is all. (at least for the KDF side of things, 4 tac consoles and lt comm tac = respectable dps)

What I'm saying is, APB is debuffed by your opponents' TT, IIRC. In PVP APB is not as effective as APO.
