It's not that hard to think of an ideal to enter the delta quadrant. They can use the borg hub that was seen in last episode. The borg can just have simply abandoned it after the destruction of the queen. Easy

The hub was unidirectional, meaning that when Voyager went out of the transwarp conduit, it could not return the way it came. Furthermore, Voyager destroyed the transwarp hub entirely.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
What if they just added a transwarp conduit to the Delta Quadrant into the Hive onslaught mission area?
We defeated the Borg Queen surely she would want to have access to the Borg in the Delta quadrant as reinforcements. Omega Force stations an armada there to protect the gateway to this section on the universe, and sends an invasion force to capture the other side of the gateway in the DQ after that is complete the explorers can venture forth into the Delta quadrant and still have ready access to home if things get to hectic for them
or we can just use an as yet undiscovered Iconian gateway that opens to the DQ, similar to the one in the "Cutting the Cord" mission, have to have a reason your ship got thru a gateway.
why must it be a borg transwarp hub gate. couldn't we enter the delta quadrant through an inconian gateway or what ever tech the voth got on the dyson sphere. i mean they can enter both quadrant at will and we no their city ships are so big that even voyager was dock in one. since they too have transwarp tech.
If they want to make it even more fun, they can give as a slot where we put a transwarp drive like they way they did with the warp drive. called it an experimental drive taking for the voth. we been the player are the first to test it, but something goes wrong during the test flight. we get to the delta quadrant but a drive fails and since it experimental, well there is no way of fix it. during tanswarp it should take the player one day to reach delta quadrant, but on the return voyage it should take the player at least months of game play to get back to alpha quadrant. this way one can not pop back to ESD when they feel like it. all transwarp ability should be disable when in the delta quadrant.
"You ask why we give our ships computer normal emotions. Do you really want a warship incapable of loyalty?"

Ah there is the problem from a Devs stand point what if players don't like the content?
or even if they love the content but quickly get bored?
Then what do the players do?
Worse case if you strand them somewhere without an option to get back immediately it would generate a lot of negative feedback, unhappy players don'tspend money. It is STO but also a business making players unhappy on purpose never ends well.
There's already a map filled with Borg. It's not impossible to have a new transwarp conduit to the DQ there. Given the state of things, it's not like these are the unstoppable Borg of TNG. It can be captured.
Having access to the DeltaQ sounds like it could be fun and open up much original content that's not tied up by legal/licensing issues which would be a nice change of pace (considering all the stuff we'd like to see in game but won't/can't because of said issues).
dStahl mentioned needing to find a way to have us be able to access the DeltaQ that makes sense, why couldn't the Fed/KDF/Roms build a Graviton Catapult ( http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Graviton_catapult ) to slingshot us there and back?
I'm all for the Delta Quadrant, I'd love to pull up the galaxy map and see it there. BUT, that being said, If i just into this new content and BAM it says "hey your cut off from everything for 2 REAL months, now go home", ima be pretty pissed, A long string of missions in the DQ would be nice but to completely force me to make that trip? No thank you. On the other hand imagine how awesome it would be when after making that real 2 month long journey your flying in transwarp and "Sol System" pops up on your HUD.
They MIGHT be able to pull off a real "voyage" event or situation like that but it wouldn't be like Voyager, Voyager was lost and cut off, if you cut off players from the Fleet, Exchange, PvE, PvP, Reputation, etc, its going to cause unhappiness amongst the players.
Although, can you really be lost of all the other players start their journey at the same time? Then we will all be on the journey together!!
I thought catapult ideal was really good. I think opening up delta quadrant would be great ideal we can also use these area for level progression. So only people above vice admiral can venture into this area of space. So you could do a level 50 to 100 over time for example would give the game room to grow for the future development.
Someone above posted that we could get another item piece called a "proto transwarp drive" and it gets us to the delta Q real fast, but breaks down when we get there. Then some delta Q species helps to repair it etc etc.
what likely happens is a variation of hi here's an experimental piece of kit but we won't tell you it's a one way trip to the delta Quaderant. Once your there , you discover your stuck. The solution will be in the form of a new reputation grind. Upon reaching tier 5 you get a new project to unlock called the real drive . this one works an gets you back home .
Now if cryptic smart they tie in the new reputation system for this grind via missions an stf's that only those in the delta quaderant can partake in . Thus giving you that whole "voyage" experience . After reaching tier 5 an making that much needed drive to reach home. it becomes a useable conduit for insta travel to an from for repeatable dailies an the usual round of farming.:P
and to make things more interesting that real drive . it'll be a universal console since we clearly don't have enough of those already :-)
We're in an age where starships can hit transwarp speeds as high as factor 30.91 with conventional engines, and 67.56 with slipstream drive. The Delta Quadrant isn't as far away as it used to be.
Ya know with transwarp and quantum slipstream drives.
It wouldn't take more then a few months to make it there unless they decided to retcon ships having that technology
our ships are designed for it unlike Voyager was, all that tech was slapped on after the fact. Mostly at extreme risk to the structural integrity of the ship's frame.

Voyager used one itself ( http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/The_Voyager_Conspiracy_(episode) ) and brought back the scans on it, Seven of Nine even stated that they could be used to bring ships from the AlphaQ to the DeltaQ.
Seems logical to me, fits cannon and is most definitely Voyager content.

I mean Q appeared at omega HQ and said "I'm bored, entertain me" and created a quantum gateway to the delta quadrant in Gamma Orionis.
I mean it even fits in with what Q would do...mostly.
It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.
