I have been playing this game on and off since the beginning and am back to check out the new stuff, I see there is a lot of new ships available, I currently fly the multi vector as I play fed tac, are any of the new ships better then this or more fun to play?
Was thinking a carrier but not sure i could take the speed and turn rate drop as I like fast ships.
I am still using MXI maco ground gear where do i get MXII or is it MKXII ? the highest level items, sorry at work cannot login to check, I never seem to find any better?
I see there are now warpcore slots, where do the warp cores drop? I tend to do just STF for drops, I also play the other instances don't really do missions, unless there's a new featured one.
Whats the best way to get Romulan marks and the new ones? I have a load of Omega marks which were converted, plus i do STF so get a lot of them, wish they would let you choose the marks.
Where do you get Lobi crystals? do they still sell new ships for zen or are they all in this Lobi store, how do i get to the lobi store?

If your PvP id go with a JHAS its uber expensive on the exchange but if your a hardcore PvPer ive heard thats the way to go.

If you played as a romulan i would recommend a scimitar as thats my battlewagon of choice as a carrier the romulan battle cloak aids its turn rate by a large margain.
Avoid the feddy bear litterbox aka the Atrox it can only equip shuttles as its primary pets and turns like a....well theres nothing that turns worse then that bathtub bolted to the floor.

There are the adapted sets but to get access to those you must be Tier 5 Omega rep and have completed ALL optionals on elite ground STFs.
But if you do thats the hardcore ground sets

Warpcore / Singularity cores are a random rare drop you can get from any space combat mission or instance.

Tau dewa sector patrol and grind the missions on new romulus for rom marks

Inside lockboxes and the very rare scavanger hunt thats how you get lobi you have to buy master keys to open boxes to get a random amount of lobi MONEY GRAB ALERT!!.

CURSE YOU!!! now i must go get a cup of sweet sweet coffee
Thanks, I don't pvp much tbh i tend to stick to STFs well tbh that's all i done past couple of years i been off and on.
I have completed all the elite STF's I did them before they were all split up, does this still count? I should give the grounds ones a bit more attention but back when i did them they were very long to complete and some people just can't jump making the ground ones a pain!
I am almost tier 4 in the rep system as i came back to play when they released it,
What about the new Romulan ships any decent tacticals ? or do you have to have a Romulan character to buy and use them? I have created one which i may try and level just for the story missions as I tend to enjoy the story line missions.
You do not need to have the optionals to purchase the adapted MACO gear, the optionals are only for unlocking costumes in the tailor. To unlock the adapted ground gear you first have to purchase the complete MK XII MACO set which is only available once you have completed Tier 5 in the Omega rep.
Romulan marks are best obtained by epohh tagging on New Romulus, you can do this once per 20 hours and best to do it in a team of 2. See here http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=469481 for a breakdown on what to do. Once you get this going good (takes a few days to get your first ancient epohh) you will be able to acquire 400 romulan marks per day. Also, not as efficient, but I find it fun, is to do defend rh'ihho station, there is 0 cool down right now so it can be done over and over. It is bugged in the rewards, doesn't seem to acknowledge what you actually accomplished, but you can easily get 40-50 romulan or fleet marks every time if you have a group of people who know what they are doing.
Nukara marks, I like doing the normal version of Crystalline Entity during bonus time, 50 marks per pop and it takes around 10 minutes, and pugging is a no-brainer.

Good thread I am a returning player too the community especially in chat @ESD has been very helpful!
Yeah i find the community in STO is generally better than most games I have played, most people in other games just rage at you.
Thanks for all the replies guys very helpful and appreciated.
Not done the crystalline entity for years now as Back in the days when the STFs were all together it was very annoying so did it a couple of times and never bothered after i completed.
I will try it then do the elite if they give more marks as I only get a few days a week to play and only a 2-3 hours on the days i do play so I need the highest generating ones for the most marks for the time i have!
