Questions Regarding Issues In Mission

atop2atop2 Member Posts: 12 Arc User
I am searching for a way to make a single allied Federation space NPC fight nearby enemy NPCs. Currently, it appears I can only create allied and enemy groups of NPCs, but no longer single NPCs, unless they are contacts, but I cannot make contacts fight, apparently. Is there any way I can accomplish this?

During one part of the mission, the enters the new map, a dialogue comes up, and then upon completing it, they must again be given the option to go to the next map. However, when playing this part of the mission, the dialogue prompt never comes up. What is the reason for this, and how may I overcome it?

During one part of my mission, the player is given a mission from a medic to procure some medical supplies and administer them to some wounded NPCs. I recently went back to the EULA and found out that the theme of medication is not permitted, if I am correct. Should I remove this part of the mission, or have I understood this wrong? If I should remove it, what do you suggest I replace this particular mission with? (I already have NPCs that give the player missions to fight off NPC animals and beam down supplies.)

These are my only two questions for now. Any help regarding these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

As i understand it, the only way to have single NPCs fight each other, is to have a full squad, and place them in a sealed off room behind an invisible wall, then drag one of them over to where you want them ( make sure you make note of which one your moving, Captain, Lt Commander, Etc )

this might not be the best way, but its the only work around i know of, hoefully there may be more experienced authors who can add more suggestions on this

As i understand it, you can't use 'Reallife' medications, as long as you stick to Star trek Medicines you should be fine i think, For example, you CAN'T have them dish out morphine , BUT something like Cortolin for example should be okay to my knowledge

    http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Cortolin

or any of these for that matter http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Drugs_and_treatments

I THINK should be fine, as long as everything is appropriately taken

I have played a mission in which you have to access the medical database and give out medicines , and that wasn't flagged or reported

There was something similar regarding the Fallout games where they had to call Morphine 'Med-x' so as to avoid encouraging people to use drugs in inapropriate ways, kinda silly

With Space, if you want a single NPC, you can use a battleship group. Unless there are multiple players, it will always spawn a single ship.

As for drugs.... BEHOLD! It's one of my favorite eps of TNG. It had Felicium as the drug of choice. Maybe Felicium exists on some other planet?

Greetings, and I apologize for not responding for so long. (Real life issues)

I thank you greatly for this information. I expect it should come in handy and allow me to finally complete my mission.

There is still the issue of the dialog prompt issue I am having. I suppose I shall simply have to fiddle around with it some more if I am to fix that.

    Thanks again, and best regards.
