This should be the next event!

I have a great idea for an event. I play 40K so this is in part inspired by their global campaigns.
Have the Tal Shiar make a move on the Romulan Republic. Then make a number of special PvE STFs that have win or lose objectives. As time goes on, cryptic can tabulate the victories and losses and adjust the galaxy map accordingly.
Say you have a number of systems that the Tal Shiar is going after, have a number of space as ground maps based in those systems. At the en of the event, they can see which ones were taken by the Tal Shiar and which ones were successfully defended or taken by the Republic.
This could do wonders for breathing new life into the game, foster teamwork and add a new element of excitement and make the players feel like they are doing something to affect the galaxy.
Just a thought that I wanted to share.

You could also have PvP maps against Klingons and do the same thing.

As it progresses, you can see which systems need assistance and focus your efforts there

Would be a great idea, unfortunatley with the amount of programming that it would take i wouldn't put it into effect. Because they have to change the map every time. It's the same reason why The Fed/KDF lines haven't changed much.

Don't need to change the map every time, just have a menu or display that shows the current stats and not change the map until the end of the event.

+! supported and encouraged. Dynamism is sorely lacking in this game, and this would help alleviate that lack. It would just take a large amount of development and coding to implement the new PvE queus/maps/missions/events what have you, and is unlikely to happen.

In Short, you want Territory Control...........which they are adding to Season 8 with the Voth.

    That's good.
I would still like to see them expand their current races and factions before adding a new race into the mix. There is so much potential to be found with the content they have now.

The Voth will give Cryptic a chance to try out territory control in isolation; it's probably a better idea than experimenting with the main factions. If it proves popular with players, maybe well see stuff like you suggest further down the line. Never know.

That's true, hopefully it goes well and we will see it in the major factions. Just got me excited for the new season now.
