Just a few suggestions for the game going forward.
Individual captain and bridge officer customization is fantastic. I love being able to design uniforms, starship layouts, etc. That being said, there's a lot more that can be done to improve on this. Fleet Starbase crew quarters are a perfect example of this.
Quarters could be accessible from the Fleet Starbase turbolift.
- Quarters should start as one room, expandable by purchasing additional "wings" via Fleet Credits, dilithium, Provisions, or whatever. Add special wings like Bathroom, Library, Trophy Room, Laboratory (Science based projects), Dojo (Tac based projects), Machine Shop (Eng based projects), etc. Think Skyrim: Hearthfire.
- Projects: daily mini missions you complete for rewards. Bonus rewards if you complete them with someone helping you. (this encourages you to invite players to your quarters and show off your l33t home dec0r sk1llz). Projects could be trait based so that you would invite some players over others for certain Projects (similar to Duty Officer attributes). The Dojo could pit players against NPCs or other players similar to holodeck combat. The Lab could have players mixing particle traces for cures to diseases, develop new scientific theories. The Shop could help players refine and repair ship and starbase systems. Success of these could grant rewards like fleetwide skill buffs, reductions in fleet store costs, etc.
- Quarters and Wings should be fairly empty when first assigned or purchased, but are furnished by the player. Furniture could be replicated for EC, but better furniture could be made through R&D or through fleet store. When I say customizable, I mean down to wood, tile, or metal floors. Carpeting colors, wall colors, etc. Different styles of furniture, trophies similar to the Ready Room trophy wall, weapon stands, replicator access, and storage. Furniture should be PLACEABLE, rather than simply bought and it automatically appears as a static item. This idea is similar to ****'s apartment system.
- The max number of furniture pieces in your quarters could increase with your rank.
- Logging off in your quarters could grant an XP bonus, or at max level grant a small fleet credit bonus.
- The captain's Ready Room should be similarly customizable, and carry accross all ships (I'd rather not set up the same ready room 6 times.)
- Quarters should be accessable by a set list of friends who can come by and maybe use your lab or something when you aren't home. (or water the plants).
I would also like input from other players who are interested in this idea.

maybe STO should have been a simulator but its not . meh its barely recognisable as an rpg now
I don't know what you mean by "simulator". Most MMOs nowadays have player housing. This game is already halfway there with Fleet Starbases. I don't see why this is much different.

Hm... Excellent point... What if we made it Captain's Quarters instead? Part of every starship, right?
Actual function and purpose needs to be added as well as more cutomization options.
