2 Broken Federation Uniform Issues + Recommendations

The LOR update broke alot of things. Two of which are below:

1. "Soft Boots" for use on Male Player Characters and Male Bridge Officers are gone from the Tailoring menus. I have acquired the TOS uniforms / bundle, Mirror TOS uniforms, and TWOK uniforms from long ago. I have had bridge officers and captains use the "Soft Boots" before LOR went live. After LOR, they were gone and all male characters & boffs that I had reverted to "Boots - Leather" which are an entirely different item altogether. Curiously, all my Fed Female Captains & BOFFs still had the "Soft Boots" and the menu still listed them as such at the Tailor.

2. TNG Split Bottom Pants - Textures are really jacked up.

=======

Some other suggestions for Starfleet uniform tweaks.

Jupiter Veteran Belt - Nice belt but the Belt Loops have no option to change their color. They will always be grey. The belt needs another color option to change the Belt Loops' color. Another cool option would be for the "wreaths" of the belt. To use either the metallic gold or silver color options.

TNG Series Combadge - Scale is a bit on the large side, and can use a bit of scaling down. The design is fine, it's just too big.

Modern Starfleet Uniforms and Rank Placement - Can there be an alternate rank placement for the "Modern" Starfleet Uniforms like Jupiter, Sierra, Veteran, and Vice Admiral uniforms? To go on the collar like later TNG / DS9 / Voy shows, or along the collarbone area like TNG Season 1, for those that have short / non-existent collars like TNG Season 1.

There's a list of tailor bugs a mile long since the launch of LOR. I had hoped they would have made at least some progress sorting them out, but so far most are still unresolved.

My biggest gripe is the fact that half of my Rom/Rem boffs from the exchange have the wrong faction uniforms making it impossible to give all my boffs the same uniform. At least I can work around most of the other issues.

PS: they are the expensive ones, so I can't just up and replace them with 100 dil whites. It would cost me almost 60 Mill ec to try replace all of them.

LOR jacked up the uniforms good, but the UI took a sledgehammer to the face from the update. OMG...

What's funny is that the LOR uniform issues didn't affect us much in the KDF side of the house. I mean, we have so few uniforms for the devs to TRIBBLE up to begin with :D

Two of my Costume slots are unavailable to my Klingon (I paid for two extra). Can't Select them, can't edit them and can't wear them. If I edit the uniform it charges me the cost in EC and doesn't make the changes.

The default 3 costume slots of course work.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001.

on the jupiter stuff , i wear it, and i can change my belt loops

    yeah that combadge looks huge!

And i would love to be able to edit the Rank positions, Or even have several different styles, i hate the modern ones , i like the TNG ones

But most of all i LOVE the ODDY ones, and i want them on all my uniforms

    There's 2 Jupiter Belts.

Regular Jupiter, you can alter the belt loop colors.

Then there's Jupiter Veteran. You can alter the belt color and the buckle's "starfield" but the belt loops are always very light grey and unalterable.

And yet those patches keep coming weekly... Though there are numerous things that have not been fixed in ages and ages.

    *nods*

While I was deciding upon what uniform to buy, I notice how many of the bottom and tops do not match. Something about the texture seems weird. I will hold off on buying more uniforms. I wanted to buy the "Next Generation: Season One" and "Councilor Troi" sets. grrr...

I also noticed another issue. Female avatar legs are too thin and rectangular. Instead of her upper legs being round, similar to muscles, the shape of my avatar's legs are octagon or rectangular. Weird.

I've personally had enough of people saying that fixing top priority art bugs bugs like this doesn't "make Cryptic money". Of course it does. Quality translates to people buying things, not poor quality stuff. I have purchased things from the store in the past, but there is simply no way I could do so now. All of the Appearance stuff is art; they are selling art. But I cannot trust in the perpetual quality of the art in the game.

Same with the bridges. I would love to buy the Galaxy Bridges, and would, but how can I trust in the quality of that art, when the free Galaxy bridge has crewman stuck in the floor? These developers have emphatically lost money because of the lack of quality control and timely fixes.

So, enough with the "Cryptic can't make money off fixing things" nonsense. Only very foolish businessmen could think so.

    Hear, hear!

I play Star Trek Online via a laptop, so this is a particularly glaring texture discrepancy. The high contrast and somewhat "garbled" texture on the TNG Split Bottom Pants is extra special noticable, to the point that setting it to the H1 or I1 values - slightly tinted but overall black - makes it still seem to be white on my screen. There's also a very noticeable clipping effect where the boots should be.

It's a fairly minor issue, I understand, but it would still be nice to see this fixed.

Since this is the standard fleet uniform pants for the fleet I'm in its very annoying.

But those who have the DS9 Admiral uniform from the Defiant Bundle can use these pants. They are the same without the texture bug.

The bottom of the TNG split bottom pants have been smoothed out.

I copied my main to tribble server and the pants are indeed fixed. The whole thing looks the way it should. :Dtxtf.jpg

It's odd that we should be celebrating about pants. But a fix is a fix, esp. with this popular uniform item.

I'm a fan of TOS, and it's really annoying that you lose the soft boots option when creating or modifying any male character with TOS uniform. A lot of people don't seem to care because they don't/won't ever use the costume, but since I'm a Lifetime Account holder, I do care.
The Imperial skin that I bought WAY BACK when it came out is gone as well.

Interesting... I thought that there was a caveat that said that you could always use it even if you don't have the Fleet version if you bought it earlier. Thanks for the information, though.
I hope that they do fix the uniform bug, soon!
