Only issue I would say with your choice of torps is that there not effected by any bof torpedo abilities, you would also be better with DBB rather than DHC, you will be able to strip the shields at longer range, the only downside to that idea is that the scimitar is more suited to hit and fade rather than being used as a turret, if your gona make a torpedo boat then use the breen set, stick 3 rapid reload transphasics on the front and 2 breen cluster torps then stick tet turrets on the back, fly in, cloaked barrage, de cloak, alpha strike, recloak and go around for another alpha strike pass.

ok sry for double post, I tested a torpedo build last night on the scimitar hull with the breen set and transphasic breen torps, with full forps up fron of a mix of cluster and rapid reload, then mines cutting beam and torp at the back, it was a monster, tested it against borg cubes in daily, and against a freind in pvp, need to work out the best torp arrangement but it was devastating.

I want to try a torpedo build off the scimitar as well.
I have the Takyokinetic console and the Temporal disruption device.
So I was thing once I get the Borg Omega Torpedo, running 2x, Chroniton Torpedo, Omega Torpedo, Chroniton DBB, Antiproton DBB front, with Temporal Disruption Device, Anti-Proton Beam Array, Borg Kinetic Cutting Beam.
Running 2pc KDF honor guard set, maybe 2 piece don't know. I'll pick up the assimilated console of course.
I will skip the Scimitar Consoles, looking at using the Armor Consoles with turn bonus, and the Takyokinetic to get some turn out of his
Right now I am flying a Fleet T'varo with Disruptor DHC x2, Chronton Torp x2, and Disruptors, and Temp Disruption Device rear, on the Aegis Set. She is very very fun. With the T'varo console set launching Big Red is a Blast. I treat her like a Raptor/Escort that just has a EBC.
I know I won't get that kind of turn out of a Scimitar, but just want to get her up to Good Battlecruiser Standings.
Any advice on this type of build.

The major problem I see with any scimitar build is power drain. 5 forward weapons and 3 rear will drain a ton of power. Aux2batt is a must...
To get max dps...you have to run dhc's/dc's or dbb's up front and turrets in rear. 5 weapon slots beg for 5x tac consoles, but considering the sets u can use...do u really want to?
U need tachyokinetic converter...period...the scimitar doesn't turn well...u may also need an enhanced neutronium armor for added turn. To mitigate power drain, u may wanna run dual front torps, omega and romulan I'd hope...with plasma weapons. Plasma infusers will boost plasma energy weapon damage and plasma DoT on all weapons.
U wanna run with dual shield emitter embassy consoles...pla and -thr adding 20% plasma damage, and overall shield tanking ability. Your last console in engineering should be assimilated console.
For weapons, run 4x plasma infusers and a plasmonic leech to boost all power levels. Better to have the higher power levels than a 5th weapon console.
To boost torp damage and stealth, run the khg/adapted maco set.

This is very odd aux to bat is not a must but it is an option
If a ship has 5 tactical consoles you use 5 tactical consoles never listen to anyone who says different
I run 5 dhc and 3 turrets on my tac I never drop any lower than 90 weapon power
The scimitar turn rate is superior to any dreadnought in the game run empte the 2 piece scimi consoles and you'll turn more than adequately for any pve content without dropping 200 lobi on another uni console
Anyway I'm sure this post was about a torpedo version of the scimitar
----=====This is my opinion you don't have to listen and no one else has to read them these "OPINIONS" are based on my exploits and my learning other people will have their opinions and that's fine just don't knock my way of doing things thanks=====----

i suppose you can say that properly setting up a ship is an option, i find it more a requirement to properly play the game, but thats all semantics...
in my opinion, the plasmonic leech console is worth more than a mk XII very rare weapon console, and many other players will say the same. If you dont know what it is...it draws a minimum 15 power from every enemy subsystem and gives that power to you in all of yours. It procs 100% of the time when firing energy weapons, and the power boost and drain lasts for 15 seconds after you stop firing. essentially, you are reducing the damage potential, shields, speed, and ability levels of the enemy ship during combat and increasing yours. Its like having every weapon act like a polaron proc, just to a lesser extent but at 100% proc rate.
it may turn better than any other dreadnought, but isnt the point to make the ship solid in all instances, not just PvE? if u dont wanna spend the lobi, u can always put in an enhanced rcs with +allres
if running the tvaro, go with fleet version, and take advantage of battle cloak, run an undetectable torp boat, with tractor mines and web mines in the rear. able to stay cloaked and pound away with whatever your favorite torp type is.
The biggest problem I see in building a torpedo boat is ship shields absorbing most of the damage. Now I know trans torps have the ability of bypassing a decent amount of shield protection, but if you aren't stripping away the shields that are protecting them you are potentially losing out on how much damage you could really be inflicting.
Working solo...it's not as effective...but as part of a team...it's deadly...especially in PvP.
Tetryon or refracting tetryon beam tank with BFAW/BO and plasmonic leech plus embassy flow caps and omega set tetryon glider drain and keep shields down...while a battle cloaked tvaro or Brel pounds away with torps. Fleet quantums, Breen transphasic, rapid reload transphasic, omega, romulan, harghpeng...take your picks...no shields means full hits. Hammer and nail...or hammer and anvil type of tactics. 2 tank beam boast and 3 torp ships is all it takes...
Run the scimitar with 5x fleet quantums, 5x zero consoles, stealth modules, web mines, tractor mines, rule 62 console...constant torpedo barrage, max power to shields, engines, and aux, great support fighter in pvp
The Energy Weapons DOFF that allows a chance of several seconds for damage to bypass shields? That means a big deal, because guess what weapons can take advantage of this?
