Pro Tip: Gateway: See All Players Builds

I cant claim credit for discovering this and im sure the vast majority are well aware of the funtionality of the gateway.staretrekonline.com site. However I feel an obligation to resubmit the usefulness of this site as par none.


You are able to live update see anyones build in your own fleet from a selection, and anyone AT ALL in the game, that u know their player@account.

For example, go there, enter your name and get to where u are looking at your own ship.

Then, enter minimax@emoejoe in place of you@whoever.

Now u can see my build! All but doffs is shown, boffs, items consoles ship etc.

So to refresh, yo u can see ANYONES build*

Now you can stop asking me how i pwned u and just look for yourself.


*u can set privacy options under social tab to disallow people from seeing your build if u so choose to.

I for one will always have an open build, and honorably implor you to stack kinetic resistance consoles, or you WILL feel pain.

    Allow others to view your character on Gateway: Off

    Last time i was even able to access Gateway, i don't remember being able to see my or anyone elses' doffs.

    Weapons, Consoles, D/E/S, Devices, BOFFs (not just those equipped and the Away Team), Captain info (gear/etc, no skills), BOFF info (gear/etc)...

    No DOFFs - no Captain skill build.

    It is a great base service. I hope to see it expanded soon and added prominently to the main STO website.

    According to my fleetmate, he said the info is outdated on his stuff and others. According to him, it said that it was showing my build as of November. Some of his new characters aren't even showing up.

    You have to switch it off for every single toon if I remember correctly.

    Wait, this exists now? I thought it was going to be an option in the Gateway...

    Sounds like he's viewing the toons that are on the TRIBBLE test server, which will obviously be older.

    wierd cus i can see mine live update. i switch a consoel and boom gateway has the new data.

    perfect for tournmanet rules check

    Call me a relic of the old cold war cloak and dagger covert spy days or just call me paranoid but I really don't like the idea of just anyone being able to view what I conceder my private and personal information about my STO accounts, characters, captains, skills, builds, boffs, doffs, ships, gear and items.

    So as for this new STO Cryptic/PWE ((Gateway)) thing, I have turned it off, ripped it out of the socket, threw it on the ground and stomped it until it is broken into many little pieces then I threw all the rubbish into the trash can.

    ***ACCESS DENIED***
    ALL PRIVACY FILTERS/BLOCKS ARE TURNED ON!
    NO PRIVATE MESSAGES!
    NO E-MAILS!
    AND MOST DEFANTLY NO PEEPINGTOMS TRYING TO LOOK AT MY PRIVATE/PERSONAL INFORMATION!

    P.S. If I had wanted you to know every thing about my STO characters I would have already told you.
