Scimitar bugged or just my build?

So after playing my KDF for a while I went back to My Rom Scmi and did an stf... My god.. You blow on that ship and it dies.. Hull wont stay up at all, shields are even weaker. :( My little tavaro on the same toon was 3 times as tanky. So is anyone else having this issue? Or is it just the way im flying it?

    The Scimitar build you described has no Deflector, no Shields, no Engines, No Singularity Core, No weapons, and no Consoles. Heck not even BOFFs. Of course it can't survive.

    let me guess you have the reman prototype shield you are using?

    I only ask this because i noticed certain shields seam to not work much at all for some reason. That particular shield seams to be unable to block much of anything and tends to stop functioning at random times as in it turns it self off....of course this is not listed in its statistics....but is noticeable when fighting things and you find your self blowing up a lot or find your shields are like flimsy paper.

    Power without Perception is Spiritually useless and therefore of no true value.

    I have learned to love my Scimitar. I still get random hull drops (even when not being hit by anything), but the ship really does benefit from gearing her right.

    I don't know if it's an inherent flaw in game design or a bug but I have been noticing it's very hard to get my crew past 200 which is ridicules given it's a 3000 crew ship.:rolleyes:

    IDK why you are having so much trouble OP. My scimitar survival is high as I could expect from a ship of its size.

    My build as far as gear goes :

    Deflector and Engines- MK XII Borg assimilated

    Shield- Elite fleet covariant with plasma, disruptor resist built in for STF's

    Sing Core- Advanced Fleet Reinforced with AUX and Shield bonus

    Fleet RCS console with +resist all, so i get a little kinetic resist and all energy resist along with turn rate.

    I run cannon build, as my captain is a TAC. 4 fleet disruptor DHC's and fleet quantum on front with 2 turrets and omega cutting beam on back.

    I always have Hazard Emitters and Polarize hull on the sci boff, and the engineer uses Epts1 and reverse shield polarity, and i run 2 copies of tactical team.

    With those few abilities I listed, I have never once blown up in an STF. I bet its 10x better as an engineer too, considering they have far more survival.

    I also got all 3 scimitars, so i have access to the 3 consoles that it came with. If you have them, you should probably use them.

    The secondary shields is a life saver for me, so is the battle cloaking with shields up :) I use them 2 all the time.

    You might want to take a look at your skill point build as well. My build was directly designed by me for elite STF's. Never had a problem with it.

    Its a problem with game design, nothing will fix that.
    The good news is its already broken, so the devs are very unlikely to come in and redo it and completely break it again like they did the hangars.
