Is the Romulan bundle worth getting? Consoles...

The Romulan special bundle gives you a big pile of ships with fancy consoles to use. And some other stuff. I'm mainly reaching out for information on the consoles, because for some reason hardly nobody ever talks about the most important stats on these things which is the cooldown times and actual end-game magnitude of effects.

If there's anybody who has the bundle, could you provide screen caps of the Info on the universal consoles, the detailed part that shows the cooldown and precise effects? Maybe with a short review on whether it's any good?

You might have to dig a little bit, but that link has every ship in the bundle, and information on their consoles.

I already tried looking in the wiki. Most of the consoles that have pages at all just have a description of the effect. The actual magnitude at level 50, and how often the console can be used, are significant factors in regards to their utility.

Hence: I am asking if anybody has the bundle and can give complete info.

There are a lot of consoles. Most form 2-piece sets, made of consoles from the non tier 5 refit, and the tier 5 retrofit. The refit consoles are usable on all Romulan warbirds, but the retrofit consoles are only usable on that particular class of ship (i.e. the freebie, refit, retrofit and fleet versions).

The bundle gives you enormous flexibility, as all 2 piece sets are open to you, as is the array of refit consoles, and also cheap access to the fleet ships, except for the Ha-x ships.

You should first decide on what ship you plan to use, and then investigate its own 2-piece set, and whether you can save a lot of money by only focusing on that.

Not really sure what bundle and consoles you are asking about, but the majority of consoles that carry a cd is anywhere from 1min-5mins. usually, and with a few that might be and exception with an even longer cd. Does this help any?

If you want to play primarily romulan characters, and stick to warbirds, buy the pack. If you just want to play romulan(s) occasionally, just buy the 2 ships you might want a set for, or ignore them altogether.

I dont have access to the game right now so i can not tell you what the exact numbers are.

It is absolutely worth getting, because of the synergy of the various special consoles.

    So, on my TVaro:

4 LOR consoles, which combined provide:

    - A super shield heal every few seconds
    - A massive boost to torpedos in general
    - A super red plasma torpedo which is an extra weapon
    - A reset that starts my singularity powers charging immediately, and helps them charge faster
    - An invulnerable defense that lasts 30 seconds, usually long enough to escape anything.

Flying warbirds with and without the LoR consoles is two completely different experiences.

IMO the bundle isn't really worth if you just want the consoles.

You are gonna want to use as many tactical console as you can so that leaves you with basically 5 or 6 to play with...

Add leech and now you have 4, add Borg and you have 3, add romulan and you are left with just 2.

If you're just after some consoles I agree its not worth it to buy the whole pack, its cheaper to just pick up the refits and the retrofit of the ship you would want to fly.

But to this person, maybe not everyone want to throw the same generic boring consoles on everything? The refit consoles are pretty damn good consoles...

If you wanna save a few bucks, get the Rom Starter and the Tier 3 Mogai from the C-Store, gets you all the best stuff.

But there is a "but" in there, if you intent on flying anything else, D'D R, Mogai R, it might be worth looking into the Legacy Pack. Fleet D'D R, is basically the best tank in the game, it can not be destroyed if combined with several of the consoles and an engi with the Miracle Worker trait. And the Mogai is arguably the best Destroyer class ship in the game (hull of a light cruiser with everything else escort). The ugly Rom escort is also a mishmash of all the best aspects of the Fed Escorts (5 tac consoles, Lt.Cmdr. Sci, and a battle cloak).

Also something to keep in mind.

The T5 Consoles can only be used on that ship or it's fleet version.

So you can't put the [Console - Universal - Projected Singularity] on any other ship than the D'deridex or it's Fleet version. Which annoys me to no end.

I own the Legacy Pack, and I have to say that if you're only going to play 1 Romulan toon, it isn't worth it. If you're going to play 3-4, in different ships, then yes.

Going for the legacy pack, not so much. Get the starter pack, and then choose the ships you will most likely fly....

If you intend to fly the spectrum of Romulan ships (or something along those lines), the pack is worth it. If you only intend to fly like 1 or 2 specific ships, then no.

These are all c-store ships, so that means every and any Romulan/Reman toon you make will benefit from all these unlocks.
