Can someone please explain "Helmsman" for Me ?

Hi Sir, :D

Like all loyal 1100+ days Players, I Opened My share of the presented Lock-Boxes, and I Won not once, but two times "Helmsman".

Can someone please Explain this Trait for Me a bit please ? :)

I Gave one of the two Traits of "Helmsman" I won, to one of My Romulan Characters, because according to Me, they certainly could use a +10% turnrate ... , but I don't Seem to See any difference !

Maybe I Am Doing something wrong, and the Trait isn't activated properly...

    Because they decided to use % instead of a real number like console set bonus, you will see very crappy returns on Cruisers and better on Escorts. Galaxy Class has a 6 TR so 10% is 0.6 where as a BoP is 20+ so will get a 2.0+

    The reason "Helmsman" is so expensive and sought after is not the minor turn increase but the 10sec reduction on Evasive Maneuvers so you now would have a 35 sec cd vs a 45sec cd or equal to 2 Purple Conn Doffs IRRC you can add a purple conn doff to your active roster to get the cd to a flat 30 secs which is very nice on any ship your character chooses to fly. :D


    BTW has anyone stacked 3 purple Conn officers with the Helmsman trait you should get a 20sec cd on evasives that way.

    Question is...does it stack before consoles, after consoles, or with consoles?
