Something marvelous happened today. I found an old mission that some people may remember called, THE CURE (LT. GENERAL). It worked. After much debate, I was able to pull a team together, we beamed down and completed it successfully. This started an entirely NEW round of discussion. Many of us in the multiple channels were wondering if it would be possible to bring back the old Style STF's updated and with better rewards. Make this the Elite of the Elite STFs. We miss them and we enjoyed it. I am making this post to see how many people would be interested in this. Please post comments below. Thank you.

    Support. Give them better rewards than the other forms but be the hardest. This will bring back the "dungeon" feel.

    The ability to add more content for no extra work/money.......sounds like a dream for Cryptic. This sort of ties in with a lot of retro stuff like accolades which can't be obtained.

    That would be good if they brought them back because i started the game as those went away and the new ones came out and i would be interested in playing them

    They were before my time but I've seen videos and they looked like a lot of fun, if a bit glitchy on occasion. Updated and fixed versions would be nice.

    Again? Was this discussed? I missed it. As I stated, it was about 2 years ago when I got the mission, and I was forced into a Haitis, from which I have returned in the last couple months. I still think this would be a GREAT idea. Up the Danger, Up the Rewards... Bring back the Dungeon CRAWL to STO... everyone comlains about how EASY it is, even in Elite. I agree. I haven't so much Death since the LAST time I went to The Cure (Lt. General). :cool:

    They also need to bring Terradome back this way. Add rewards and fix some of the errors.

    Indeed. It's not even worth trying right now, except for the accolade, and given what a pain it is, most people forego it until they are uttely bored with nothing left to do...or close to it.

    They need to do *something* with the ground STFs. Taking away the unique rewards they offered was the WORST idea possible. They dumbed down STFs too much, made them too easy and made it so you didn't have to do ground STFs in order to get XYZ piece of gear.

    These days I see 95% of PublicEliteSTF just grinding space STFs over and over, and why not? ground ones with pugs can more likely then not just be a waste of time and energy.

    This is pretty much it. Comments made earlier this week about not producing ships interiors for unique ships like the D'Kyr or kill accolade trophies for new species like the Tholians because they are 'time consuming' tell us that they are not concerned with a solid gaming experience. What are they concerned with? Your wallets.

    Terradome is gone now. It still gave a nice bit of dilithium and use to drop the Borg kit. Not sure if it was dropping right at the time it was removed though.

    Unlike Terradome, make sure to increase scale the rewards to match the time spent in this match.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    See? Last I knew they had nerf'd it hard. Been gone too long. Anyways. Looking forward to some fun STFs again...

    i think that bringing the old stf's back would be a great idea

    Call 'em Master STFs or something. They would be the equivalent of the Nightmare mode raids from TOR.
