  I'm still kind of fond of the intro to Mass Effect 2. Before the title screen pops, your character is dead - spaced with a leaky pressure suit, and then dropped into the atmosphere of a very cold planet. (Which is a response I wish I could give during the later convo with Ash/Kaiden - "I thought you were dead! We all did!" should have as an actual response, "I was dead. They put me back together.")

  It should also be noted that Gearbox makes some of the absolute best teaser trailers for their games. Such as: Borderlands 2 : Doomsday
