R'mor. A namesake. A CONSPIRACY.

The following is a tale of hope, time travel, and espionage.

In 2010 I purchased an exiting new game called Star Trek Online. I created my first character, whom I still play with to this day. A green alien. A doctor of the finest caliber.

An excerpt from his medical logs:
Patient presented with a headache. I gave him some Cordrazine. I have no idea how much. There is no such thing as too much Cordrazine in my professional opinion. He went into immediate cardiac arrest, but I doubt it had anything to do with me. The nurses seemed pretty concerned about the patient at this point. I wasn't worried though, the floating words above my head clearly state that I am a doctor. I tried Inoprovaline next, I gave him lots. I think Inoprovaline is measured in cups probably? Anyway, I gave him about six cups. In retrospect that seems like it was a lot. Why wasn't there ANY medical training at Star Fleet Academy? I don't even remember signing up, I just kind of suddenly awoke in the mess hall of a ship during a battle with the Borg. Let the record show that I might not actually be a doctor, I don't know how I got here, what species I am or why Admirals keep giving me Starships.

This Doctor's name is R'mor.

Fast forward to today, where the R'Mor class temporal science vessels are unveiled by the Romulans. *gasp*. A coincidence? A recognition of my greatness by the cryptic gods?

NO!

Its a TIME SHIP. Clearly, sometime in the future, I defect from the Federation (commandeering the current temporal federation science vessel entrusted to me) and become embroiled in the temporal cold war on the side of the Romulans. Shenanigans ensue, maybe even some two part episodes. Cliffhangers! Tropes! My act of heroism eventually merit the naming of a class of vessel after me. Now that R'Mor class vessels have been recovered in the past MY FUTURE TREACHERY IS REVEALED.

I now turn to you, fellow captains. Now that my future life is known to me, what should I do? Imprison myself? Submit and embrace my inevitable Romulan brothers? What say you?

Oh wow you're right. Dr R'mor is friggin' canon. google found him immediately. How did I not know this? All this time spent thinking I was an original.

I didnt' do it on purpose. Was the name embedded in my subconscious? That was even a time travel episode the good doctor was in. I'm not ruling out time travel conspiracy juuuust yet. :D

meh i think the theme and name was just in your subconcious. Stranger things have happened when the subconcious affects the concious.

You should feel Honoured that your character is named after a ship class::D

This, along with the OP - are going to go down as my favourite posts of the week.

No idea why, maybe it's because I'm sick of all the nerd rage and drama - but good work OP.

2 years from now the RSE will form a covert alliance with the Tholians giving them full control over the Azure Nebula in exchange for their help in squashing the RR, at which time you'll be taken prisoner while visiting a "friend" within Romulan space. The Tal Shiar will attempt to recondition you, but then realize you're already the perfect agent and simply wipe your memory of them and leave you in a disabled Shuttle near Federation space to be discovered a few days later. You then return to your career of bad medicinal practices and your secret yet unknown work as a RSE assassin, leaving a trail of corpses of low ranking yet crucial Starfleet officers in your wake.

For your heroic actions on behalf of the dark side of Romulan society you will indeed have a ship named after you.
