The next remastered mission

I know new stuff is generally more important, but a lot of the older missions are showing their age and really need an update. They don't have to have tons of voiceover and expensive treats like that, but just cleaning them up a little would go a long way toward making the game more immersive and fun.

Some ideas:
- "Crack in the Mirror": The part where you talk to the Prophet needs to be replaced by a cutscene like the one in "Of Bajor". And some more dialogue options for talking to James O'Brien (perhaps letting us talk about the Terran Empire and the mirror universe in general) would be great too, especially for players unfamiliar with the concept.

- "The Other Side": This one just doesn't feel very climatic for the ending of the mirror universe arc. The Alliance ships should be reskinned to resemble the mirror ships currently dropping in lockboxes, and the final boss should be the I.S.S. Enterprise-F and its fleet, not a random Typhoon that takes ten seconds to destroy.

- "Divide et Impera": Obviously it needs to be made more Starfleet-like, i.e. not shooting everyone in sight just because Zelle says so.

- "Blood of the Empire": Set the ground battle in the First City, and make the space battle a lot bigger and more climatic. The Fek'Ihri are invading the capital of the Klingon Empire; they should be sending a lot more (and bigger) ships than that.

Those are just a few ideas. What do you think? Which mission(s) would you like to see remastered?

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Divide Et Impera would be the top of my list (loathe that mission, skip it on all my newer toons). One it needs to be less obvious and murderous, and two the way it simply 'ends' instead of letting you fix your boneheaded mistake. Kirk, Picard, Sisko, even Archer, upon being duped like that, would immediately do everything in their power to correct their mistake, since simply letting it stand would so clearly be an act of war. Extend the mission to allow the player to hunt down that Undine SOB and try and show the Romulans what happened (and save them from being infiltrated themselves), and then apologize as much as such a situation would allow. That sounds like it would be much more Starfleet and much more satisfying to the players..

State of Q- it has a small portion of the Battle of Wolf 359. There is enough ship (2360s era) assets to at least expand it bigger and make the Saratoga's interior more in line with 2360s era (they do have that one with one of the Galaxy's bridge sets)

The entire Undine arc is in bad need of a redesign.

Examples are that the dialogue options does not recognize Romulan characters, which is especially apparent in the mission against the Tal Shiar and the entire arc brings no close to the story.

Basically it ends with a cliffhanger about the Iconians being behind the Undine infiltration.

Personally, I find remastered missions just as fun to play as new ones. Plus, as I noted in the first paragraph of the OP, the old ones are noticeably lower quality missions that can be difficult to enjoy.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying Cryptic should suspend making new stuff in favor of remastering old stuff. I'm saying they should do some of both.

I think the Borg missions need to be fitted for Romulans, and be given the mission "The Return" which in in the Undine category for some reason.
