Romulan 1000 days ships

I just had a quick check at the Romulan 1000 days subscription ship on Tribble. I must admit, I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping for something different, but it's very similar to the Federation one. But maybe it's just because I don't have a tactical officer on the Romulan side.

But another point, I couldn't tried it. It's like my lifetime subscription is not recognized on Tribble. To I need to do something to apply it on Tribble?

If the vet ships were significantly different from each other there would be lots of complaints I'm sure. Its easier this way...the only differences are the damage types of the lotus and the KDF and RR have battlecloak in exchange for a lower shield mod.

By the way, its one of the best escorts/destroyers in the game. Just because it has 9 consoles does not mean anything.

It comes with a very special tactical systems transformation console that gives that ship crazy amounts of accuracy bonus. No other ship has that ability and to top it off , the the plasma lotus is nasty! It has the potential to do far more DPS than the Federation counterpart due to the fact that it is a plasma lotus, and running the romulan Energy Harness plasma set with embassy console makes for a very devastating plasma build. The ship is 110% worth it.

The difference between all 3 ships:

Fed ship has more overall resiliency
    Kdf ship has battle cloak
Rom ship has romulan battle cloak and singularity core(the others have warp core, hence the power level problems and singularity abilities)

and yes the main console ability does phaser/disruptor/plasma dmg

    Yeah...no.

The stock T5 Mogai and Dhelan put the Daeinos to shame. Roll out a fleet version of either and the Daeinos doesn't even come close.

Just from my experience, The Vet. Destroyers are notably better than pretty much every end-game tactical ship.*
I love the scimitar (so much damage, rather tough, really nimble and the best damn cloak in the game), and the Mogai retrofit is pretty damn fun, but they just don't play as well.

Keep in mind that there's a good chance this is mostly down to my play style though, so if you disagree: You're probably right, in a sense.

    * I do of course only speak on behalf of the factions I play much, KDF & Rommies. The chimera doesn't appeal to me, although I'm yet to bother getting my fed-tac to endgame so I can't give a fair assessment anyway...

    Yeah....no.

The Daeinos has a bit more hull than the Mogai and definitely more than the Dhelan, It has a bit less shielding than both but that can be made up by the DTS, it has a much more flexible boff layout than either, and it has better free power than the generic +5 engine power most RR ships have.

Sure of course fleet versions are better, if the vet ships ever move beyond prototype things will change.

Compared to shields, hull is incredibly weak when it comes to the effect it has on survivability. In addition, anyone who isn't over-capping their power levels, on any ship that they fly, doesn't have their boat setup competently. Power level buffs are that pervasive right now.

You're trading thousands of shield points, plus potentially 2 base turn, for a gimmick console and a transformers animation. That's in no way an equitable trade-off.

So if we're tanking with a Escort/Destroyer you can easily make up for some lost shields (which isn't thousands) with the much more flexible boff layout.

As much as I'm sure you would like to pretend not Starship Shield Systems improve your shield strength and having 30 is almost like 2 more skill points in it (From the bottom end which is the better end.)

So no you don't lose thousands of shields.
