Do the pearls stays in your account for next year event?

Since the math goes against me (the 4th of Aug is the last day to collect pearls, I have 540 pearls, needs 12 days...today is the 27th), I was wondering if the pearl will stay with us or if next year we will get something else, like it happens for the winter event.

I don't mind leave the slot there, in my special event, for the next summer event :)

It would be awesome if they would continue to give pearls out until the end of the event (which is the 14th of Aug, if I recall correctly), but if they gotta end it the 4th, I would like to know if there is any use of the work done up to now.

In other mmo (LOTRO for example), you get generic festival marks, which you can save for next year, so I was thinking that would be great if STO does the same....otherwise I am done with risa, since I just wanted the ship.

Is there any plan for this? If we re-use the pearls already committed to the event, it makes sense to continue to collect them until the 4th. Since I heard nobody saying anything official, I was wondering if there is in fact an official statement.

    While I already have 1 ship and I'll be getting another one tomorrow (different characters) I would like to know the answer to this. It would be problematic as you can not remove the event once you have started it. So will the Risian corvette be available next year or do you need to start the event rep. Now and use pearls from next year to finish?

    In game it says the pearls are harvested once a year or something like that giving the appearance they would be available next year, but one can never be to certain.

    Makes no sense for the pearls to disappear when the event ends, and I don't recall the Q autographs disappearing when the Winter event ended either.

    I still have some of the Q's photos from the last winter event, so i think you will keep the pearls.


    However i have no idea i they are going to use on the next summer event... or if i'm going to need the photos on the next winter event

    Thanks guys, but your Q photos are already committed in an event, or are in your inventory? (I never even looked at the winter event, did the one the first year and got bored with the race on the icy track)

    That may be a problem if they decided that you keep only what you have in the inventory, while whoever already contributed to the project with the pearls may loose them

    The photos are on my bank... when the winter event came out we didn't have the event tab on the reputation system

    That works because you had them in the inventory/bank; I guess if you commit them is done :(
