Content Designer Charles Gray shares details about the third Dilithium Mine Featured Project in this entry of the Legacy of Romulus News Dev Blog series.
I'm curious to know if they plan on adjusting the need for mining provisions. Why reward us with reduced costs for Fleet Marks and Dilithium only to punish those of us who have been more productive, i.e. the only people who can afford to contribute mining provisions. I can't support my fleet by EARNING fleet credits just to give them back in mining provisions.

I agree.
I'm in a small fleet of only 22 people and only about 5 of us donate to the projects.
One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.
it will cost 200k just like other of these projects
Not necessarily. Some fleets will have it cost 192,000 dilithium whille the next project could cost 182,000 dilithium. Horta would be a cool miner to have especially if a bunch of them are in the exterior which is available with Tier 2 Dilithium Mine.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
There is also the Tier 2 Dilithium Mine project that allows shuttle access to the Dilithium Mine from the Starbase. Strangely enough it is one of the only minor upgrades that requires Dilithium. The Trade and Development Upgrades are major upgrades IMO.
I agree as well. Those special projects seem to come out far faster than before....
Of course they do. It's Cryptic/PWE's monkey puppet.
EX:
Person: "I have a complaint!"
Clerk: "I'll happily help you with that, but first.... LOOK! A Monkey!" *Manipulates a Monkey puppet as a distraction*.
The "Holdings" are being completed faster than the team wants so they push the flash projects up which in turn bolsters Zen sales so people can buy Dilithium which we all know is only partly sold by the playerbase.
To be fair, the projects are coming out at the same rate they always have, every two weeks. In fact, a bit slower, as the first project was up three weeks before the second one hit. The difference is that the projects used to be distributed between the main base and the embassy, so each location only got one project a month.
Not that I don't think these projects are a bit silly/overpriced (though the completionist in me still strives to complete every one of them). Especially considering that there are fleets out there who might have as many as three cosmetic projects completed, who can't actually see any of them yet.
How bout a special Mine project that gives more valid Fleet Cores that'd be good

How about doing that for free?:D

This project will probably cost dilithium, when it really should cost DOFFs...
I agree.

Fly to it. It's in Beta Ursa sector block, bottom of the sector, near the regular mining place.
Then hail the ground and beam down
Kirk's Protege.
Thx - I would have been flying around my starbase area looking for traffic control - lol
