no bridge officer in first contact mission

meeting alien (Siavousuu) delegation for "Initiate First Contact: Hromi Cluster" diplomatic mission, none of the delegates are interactable, and after the recorded message from Ambassador Sugihara, there is no briefing from the bridge officer.

    Same here for the First Contact Mission with veamianian diplomats in the b'tran Cluster.

    The Butto "Talk to Bridge Officer" is present, but does not do anything.

    What did i miss? Or is that a bug?

    So it's not just me then! I have tried restarting the mission, restarting the game, changing around my BOff's (when the game doesn't do that FOR ME, but that's a whole 'nuther bug :rolleyes:), even changing my ships, and I get the same thing. Consulting a BOff that I can't seem to access and unable to interact with any of the diplomats. I was really looking forward to playing these....guess I'll just have to wait until it's fixed...which should be around the same time the sun burns out, like all the other bug "fixes".

    After it took almost forever (at least it felt like that) to get to Diplomacy rank 3, the main reason for this ordeal, a new mission type, isn't working.

    I'm disappointed. And sad. Why do you want to make me cry, Perfect World?

    Yes i too hoped they would fix it with the latest patch but no luck..
    Lets hope they'll fix it in the next one....

    Yup. I'm having the same problem... all that work to get to Rank 3 diplomacy for nothing but a fancy title...

    I'm having the same issue as well. This is my first First Contact mission attempt.

    it looks like this problem has been going on for over a month :( I was hoping I did something wrong, looks like I cant do the mission

    Well ...it wont be fixed on todays update...It's either hard to fix as it seems anything Boff/ship bridge related is or they just put it way low on the priority list.


    I have a toon on hold because of this...

    First of all, I'm really sorry for highjacking your thread, for some reason I am not allowed to create new threads until "A certain amount of days have passed" (Silly rule)

    I am new to the game and have just reached level 5, it says that I am supposed to be awarded a new Bridge officer at this level, but I have not received it.

    I have looked under the stations tab and also in my inventory , but know sign of it.

    Can anyone help me out please.

    Check your In Progress Tab to see if its there any Hail Starfleet option to receive your Boff.

    Thanks teidi01, I just looked in the Progress Tab as you said, but it's not there either, I've now gone up a couple more levels since writting my last post and have been awarded a bridge officer for that one.

    Seems strange that the level 5 officer didn't get awarded though.

    Thanks for your help anyway, I've sent a ticket in about it, although going by alot of the threads I have been reading, Customer Support doesn't sound like it exists in this game, here's hoping though :P

    Back on topic...

    I, too, am having the problem as the OP. Get to the observation deck, get a heads up from the diplomacy corps guy to talk to my bridge officer and.... no bridge officer. Diplomats un-interactable. Reloading mission doesn't help. Unable to complete First Contact mission acquired after diplomacy rank 3.

    As we can see...none of it is fixed on the August 1st patch...

    Considering how very few are probably Diplomatic Envoys this is not a noteworthy bug to solve...

    OR



    It is somewhat related with the BOFF/Department Heads mayhem we are having now which normally seem hard to fix.


    One question to any who did these type of missions before it became bugged:

    Was the Bridge Officer Sugihara tells us to talk one of our BOFFs or just a random NPC officer?

    Here's what the idiots responded with to my ticket...

    Hello

    Thank you for contacting us about your issue. This may be best resolved by restarting the current stage of your mission. Please note you will only lose progress for this stage of the mission.

    To restart the current stage of a mission:
    1) Leave the map that you are currently on & return to sector space via the Abort Mission/Depart System/Beam to Ship button on your mini-map
    2) Once you are back in sector space please wait at least 15 minutes for the instance of your mission to reset. (All team mates must also be outside the instance in order to reset it.)
    3) Once 15 minutes has passed return to the mission entrance. Click on the "Continue: ..." button to return to your mission.
    4) You should now be at the beginning of this mission stage and can continue normally.

    I must note that the similar problem also occurs in Mine Enemy. When I chose those diplomacy options, I can't find any hostile Romulans and I had to kill the guard at last.:mad:

    i have a cruiser with 4 stations but can only fill 3 though i have officers.and when i get no candidates it saying i do not have anymore bridge officer space.how can i commission the new officers?

    Count me in that number also, just tried to do my first one and it's broken. Same problem as everyone else.:(

    same issue. And I tried reclogging, restarting, rebooting, none of these worked.

    I also tried re-pleading, re-clicking, re-begging, re-yelling. None of these worked either, but I didn't really expect them too.

    I am re-sad.
