Females and Sashes

Do all the sashes (save the Lt. Comm one) clip through female chests?

    I had that problem myself. try scaling the TRIBBLE down. (shocking, I know) might help.

    That was my first though, and so I tried that... but the sashes still clip through muh TRIBBLE.

    I do hope the developers realize that RL women don't range from C cup to D cup. :rolleyes:

    Usually, if there's breast clipping, you need to scale the bust size down to 60% or so. Some Fed items have noticeable clipping over 50% (TNG badge is a rather obvious offender), but I haven't cataloged the bust size for stopping KDF-side clipping.

    Part of the problem is that those items don't themselves scale properly to bust size... several of the ones that clip through a character with a high bust setting will have floating issues on small-chested characters.

    Since it's the player that edits the appearance of his or her character + boffs, I don't think it's really the developer's fault.

    And even if it were, RL women have TRIBBLE of all shapes and sizes.

    Lol at most of the above.
    But on topic, I have my Rihan gal with a more "normal" sized TRIBBLE (actually probably slightly smaller than average, I think I set the setting to like 15-20% of the way up, and that's it), and have no clipping of her sash on any uniform, at least not with the normal Rom, or the TOS one.

    I've no problem with any of the sashes on my female orion that I've noticed... I tend to keep the slider down below 1/3rd though (aka TRIBBLE that dont require anti-gravity plating).

    Yes you could go with a touch less "endowment" there..

    Let me toss you a character creator hint.

    use "Torso Bulk" "shoulder" and "waist" sliders a bit more. and reduce breast size a touch and you can work around the clipping with sashes quite nicely. I suspect to eliminate clipping the Dev's will need to rebuild part of the graphics engine. Costume/uniform elements don't collide. means they gotta go through some real hoops when their doing clothing bits. Unfortunatly it doesn't work that way (they should lift some code from second life. Clothing works right in that app. Was build right to begine with and all of the nice clothing is all UGC in second life. I'd call that a hint of a better way to do it)

    Some sashes work fine on females. Mine isn't clipping at all.
    STO would have been better as a Stargate MMO than it is as Star Trek. Go figure.
