This should go to the Ten Forward; but anywho... as the NX didn't even have shields, it's a clear win for the Miranda. Also we could see in 'In a Mirror, Darkly', that even a Constitution class ship could easily deal with multiple mirror NX class ships (which were apparently better armored and equipped than their prime-universe counterparts), so hands down it's a Miranda win.
That's a weird hypothetical face off... It's like asking who'd win if you let a refitted 1930's oldtimer race against a modern sports car. Even if their tech is the same, the modern car could use it's tech more efficiently due to it's advanced design, materials and so on and probably win.
But it would probably be a "victory" for the Miranda class. It's larger and could probably house more advanced systems, sport better/stronger weapons, shields, engines etc. while their intended functions in the fleet would probably be the same (the NX being less flexible, though)
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^
"No. Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects... and claw at you." -Worf, son of Mogh
"A filthy, mangy beast, but in its bony breast beat the heart of a warrior" - "faithful" (...) "but ever-ready to follow the call of the wild." - Martok, about a Targ
"That pig smelled horrid. A sweet-sour, extremely pungent odor. I showered and showered, and it took me a week to get rid of it!" - Robert Justman, appreciating Emmy-Lou
NX refitted with TNG tech...okay.
In that case I'd assume the old tech is removed and an equivalent modern piece of technology is put in its place.
So the Grappler gets replaced with a Tractor Beam, the torp launchers are modernized and the Phase Cannons get replaced with Phasers on a 1to1 basis.
Miranda wins.
Torpedo-wise they'll be the same but in terms of close-in firepower the Miranda is going to wipe the floor with the NX.
The NX has/had 2 fwd and one aft cannon which translates into 3 Phaser Arrays.
The Miranda has 2 fwd and 2 rear Phasers in the "rollbar" and another 3 dual mounts in the saucer, like the Constitution Refit has on her saucer.
(I'm going to assume the top and bottom emitters are linked, meaning they're just the top and bottom "outlets" for the same weapon.
Otherwise we'd end up with 6 double emitter in the saucer.)
So the NX only has cover forward and aft, not really to the sides and actually not enough to the top.
So in close-combat the Miranda is going to shred her.
*EDIT: I know Memory Alpha claims 12 in the upgraded version but doe not provide and explanation where this number comes from while 3 was actually established in dialogue*
The NX-class, unless it's the 'replica' version playable in STO, stands exactly a 0% chance of winning against a Miranda-class. Miranda sports a tougher hull, loads more weapons, a tractor beam, and most importantly shields. The Miranda-class would be a tank compared to an actual NX-class.
With equivalent armaments though? Let's bring them out in-game and see just who's stronger...
Miranda. Even if we assume that the NX was basically a modern 25th century vessel with an NX shell, the fact is that's one tiny tiny ship. There's only so many weapons you can cram into that thing. Unless you're a Defiant, but Defiant was the Jesus of starships.

Aside from the station and the Defiant nobody had shields on that show.
Round 2 is going to be about who's captaining it. (Archer has died of old age by now) This means, Captain first, weapons last.
