When will character creation in the foundry be Enabled?

I have anticipated the day they would put the foundry back up so I could create a character and try myself. Guess what! Its disabled. Do I have to reach a certain level to create my foundry character or what?

You need an empty character slot. And if you want to create a fed or a KDF, you need the appropriate empty slot, don't hope to make a Fed Foundry character with an empty KDF slot.

Question 2)are you a gold or silver user?

If silver, do you have 10k dilithium available to buy your slots?

I have a free character slot but it says character creation is disabled!I tried to make a character. It fails (LIke so many other things STO which is supposed to be created by a perfect world, oh the irony) and sends me back to log in.

For the record, both STO and the Foundry both predate Cryptic's acquisition by Perfect World so the latter can't be said to have "created" it.

But more to the point, it sounds like something isn't right. There are a number of issues right now being sorted out post-LoR. My recommendation is that you make a post in the Foundry Bug Forums to be sure that CrypticFrost sees it. He's usually very diligent about getting these things logged. Try to include as may details as possible.

I have been very excited to create a character for the foundry but when roll my mouse over the link it says character creation is disabled. I have a free character slot but it still has it disabled.

When you mouse over the New Character button on the Create Content screen, what is the message you are seeing?

Is your account a gold or silver?

Important question: do you have character slots?

Foundry character slots were setup in such a way that you can use them for live characters instead... and you could use live character slots for Foundry characters. Unless that's changed...

I have no pre-existing character slots and i am not a silver or gold member.
It says:
"Create a character for the foundry. Character creation is disabled."
I still have a free slot i can fill.

From your statement, it looks like you're a free, aka Silver, account. Correct?

Here's a couple more questions to try to track down the problem.

How many normal characters do you have? What level(s) are they? If you mouse over the normal Create Character button, what does that say?

Have you purchased any Foundry Project Slots?

2 normal characters, my federation is level 5 and my klingon is but a warrior. My normal character creation is perfectly fine. I have not purchased any slots.

OK, for a normal, non-subscriber account one has to purchase Foundry Project slots to be able to use the Foundry, including creating a Foundry character.

Ouch. In your case, you'll need to contact Customer Service. Sadly, there's nothing I can do to help you as this looks to be a problem with your individual account and that's CS's domain. Sorry.
