And still no fix on tribble.. looks like the cryptic motto is going to apply: "no money = no fix"

Actually that's always been their motto. Comm badges clipping with female 'chests', trill spots not aligning, the misaligned cannon on the Galaxy X, the missing windows on the Venture, the Aquarius escort being twelve sizes too large, the basic Defiant bridges having their carpets broken, most bridges having holes in the geometry or bridge officers floating/sitting in the floor.

Until a bug starts biting the profit margin, it usually doesn't get fixed. Just 'investigated'.

Somehow cryptic put the [TNG Romulan] leg texture over the [TNG split bottom] leg texture.

If you have that DS9 admiral pants use those for now. the split bottoms are an eyesore for the time being.

The Counselor pants are great as well, if you have those. They color-match very well with the TNG/DS9 uniforms, and definitely fit better than the standard ones.

If they fix those pants, they should put a colored division stripe along the boot-cut trim too. If they wanted to do it right. Actually, I am not sure if they actually had that stripe in the show or if it was just in the design specifications and action figures.

I don't believe that it's just the TNG pants doing this. Bajoran look a bit off too.
If its working in the players favour - "This isn't working as intended. We're going to remove this from the game. You're not playing as we intended."
If its working in the games favour - "We have too much on our plate to fix this/Working as intended."

    Exact same problem. Pity, too.

Glad to know I'm not the only one dealing with this.

Today I noticed the TNG split bottom pants on my character and BOFF's look weird. The lower parts of the pants have weird black swirly lines on them.

    See here:
    http://i.imgur.com/dZQpvfB.jpg

I made the pants white to illustrate the issue, normally they're black but then you can still see the weirdness.

    Is anybody else having this?
Yes, I can confirm, I am having this same problem. Not only are their odd lines, but the color on the rest of the pants seems off too. They used to be a nice dark black that would go with/blend (near)seamlessly with the top. Now they black isn't so dark, it's got a hint of grey in it and the colors don't match up. There are some other more subtle lines, too. This is in addition to the strange lines near the bottom part of the pants.

Looking at it more closely. It's almost as if the TNG pants got merged with the Enterprise jumpsuit pants.

I sure hope the fix these soon. I have several toons that use the TNG/DS9/Voyager uniforms to which these pants belong.

    :(

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

How is something like this possible in the first place? And then to remain unresolved for so long?! Ridiculous.

great more bugs. seriously what the hell happened in that patch to break something completely unrelated. reminds me of city of heroes... when it was owned by cryptic.. I think I'm sensing a pattern here.

I'm still waiting for a fix to the power trays so they don't fill up with random powers everytime my romulan characters zone. It doesn't seem to be happening to my older characters but i'll be damned if I do ANYTHING to them that would even make this bug rear its ugly head.

What the heck happened to the TNG splitbottom pants? They look...terrible. The texture looks pixellated or something, causing the colours to not match the top options. In addition, there are weird lines around the ankles of the pants.

Am I the only one seeing this? When did it happen?
You're right. The work here is very important.

Any word from Cryptic on this? I use these pants on everything and all my toons look ridiculous now.

    I'm having the same problem.
The reason i haven't noticed it yet is because i don't use the TNG (series) upper uniform at all. What should be black looks like some sort of grey, and the whole upper uniform looks just battered. If it hat the same quality as the Academy uniform i would use it of course. But hey, it's TNG the devs surely won't fix that. I just hope they will fix this new trousers bug.

Logged in today. Wanted to explore strange new worlds. Logged out. I'm surprised my gameplay is being affected by such an aesthetic bug. But there you have it. Hope Brandon can get some info from the art team on this soon.

Same here. I've 3500 Crewmen aboard my ship and all pants are Buggy, so i had to order admirals pants for all crewmen.
I'm sure they will fix it.

Honestly, I don't mean to be rude, but do desire an explanation in this case because it's so obvious, yet so ostensibly ignored: How can any prospective buyer trust in the art quality control? It's a shame something like this goes on for so long. Bugs in the background, so to speak, don't matter nearly as much as such visible art bugs like this.

On a related note, the overarching thorn in the side here is that the split bottoms aren't even right for the latest canon uniform (First Contact), which where straight cut bottoms, so it's a fail/fail situation for fans of that uniform. There ought to be a genuine canon 2370s uniform, even if it were only available in the store. It's kind of silly to trash and disregard what is in every poll consistently the most popular uniform in the franchise. At least there are lots of other free options, though none in that flat, non-shiny style.

All these issues but especially the missing Soft Boots. As part of the TOS uniform (that was paid for) they should be available... c'mon guys!
*STO* It’s mission: To destroy strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations... and then kill them, to boldly annihilate what no one has annihilated before!

Yes, the Split Bottom abomination and the loss of the Soft Boots for men (especially for people who bought the TOS uniform) are the two biggest costume problems at the moment, and eminently noticeable. Incredibly, these two bugs alone are an absolute deal-breaker for prospective buyers of both the TOS and TNG uniforms! That represents very nearly the entire canon franchise! It's absurd; so absurd as to seem intentional.
