  Not anymore, there are various other and especially after the nerf, better ways to kill **** instashotting.

  I picked up a couple of Mk XII [Acc]x3 tricos amazingly cheaply a while back, so I still use them as sternchaser weps on some cruiser layouts. One of those torps with a hi-yield buff on it is a good way to say "get off my TRIBBLE$" to human players; automated opponents tend to run smack into those torps and suffer the AoE shockwave and stun.
