I saw that asked in OPvP...and...I ate another CTD (really, Cryptic - who is this not affecting?) before I could answer/ask more questions.

Would need to know more about the intended build, weapons, Career, etc, etc, etc...

Somebody says KHG to me - and - I'm thinking somebody's looking at making a Torp Build.

Somebody says Borg to me - and - er... I'm thinking they're not doing a Torp Build, they're not doing an energy build where they've considered Tet Glider, they're not considering an energy build using AKHG, they're not looking at Elite Fleet gear, they're not interested in trying out the new Nukara stuff for a Tetryon build, etc, etc, etc...

Then again, is it just a question about 2pc or 3pc? Maybe the question is about 2pc Borg with a different shield?

But it still goes back to what kind of overall build you're looking at...

I've decided to convert my two secondary Engineers from healers over to guys flying the Risian Corvettes - because I hate healing and plain just suck at it. So they're not going to PvP - they're just going to play the Fast and the Furious over in PVEland - so yeah, I'm dorking around with the idea of them sporting 3pc Borg...but that's PvEland - not PvPland.

But anyway, yeah - I was just going to ask for more info so somebody else in the channel might have offered some suggestions (kind of like what I'm doing here)...but I ate yet another freaking CTD.

Set does not necessarily equal good. Take a close look at the 2 and 3 piece passives, and the stats of the items, especially the deflector, and work out how it suits your current build, or make a new build around it. There are actually few occasions where I would consider using a full 3 piece.

tactical orion, disruptor pew pew build. basically it. on my tetryon science, she's getting the nukara set. I use adapted maco on my engineer. so I was wondering if assimilated should be better for my run and gun corvette

Basically 2piece-assimilated and a fleet elite shield, if you dont have that, use the normal Honor guard shield. The adapted KHG nullifies the plasmonic leech, and plasmonic leech+khg-schild>adapted khg-shield.

are you gonna run 2 torps up front? 2 piece adapted maco/KHG and nukara deflector

gonna run 1 or none? well...lots of options depending on playstyle. adapted borg is no brainer for healing yourself, and if u like control aspect the free tractor beam is nice. would want tractor mines to compliment the setup.

maco set can be tanky too if you like to run ultra high power levels with plasmonic leech. graviton beam can be annoying to other players.

honestly havent checked stats on nukara set bonuses yet, but as I said above, i like their deflector.

omega set would be fun to run tet glider with plasmonic leech, but again u are then sticking with a specific playstyle.

ive seen all work...and Ive seen ppl hate each because they dont understand how to use the set powers properly

No torps, all pew pew. I just want it to be a speedtank. So i was wondering if adapted honor guard or assimilated set was going to do that for me.
