Yes...and maybe someday see a mirror universe variant...something like the mirror assault cruiser with 200 more crew...simply for added healing

I tried the ship with great expectations: it's the veteran ship, it must be one of the greatest ship in sto!
    no, it is not...
The special skills, Tachyon Inversion Beams and Phaser Lotus, are good but the cooldown of 5 minutes is too long.
But the big problem is this: only 9 consoles. This ship deserves 10 consoles.
My charal is much better for offense (and this is natural) but also in defense!
I can use 1 more console such as neutronium or field generator.
I estf i have better results with my charal, both in damage and survival.
I'm not happy with this chimera...
What do you think about this?

    Edit
    this is my build:
    http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=bis4_0

it should defiantely have either 10 consoles, or the special console it comes with should be build in...like the galaxy dreadnought or the guramba (both do not suffer from 9 consoles, since they got a special ability that would otherwise take up 1 console slot)

it is among the better hybrid ships ingame never the less...if it was better than many other c-store ships, people would feel obligated to buy lifetime subs, which many would simply consider a serious case of pay to win, if we look at the price tag.

your build has room for improvements too...EPtW1 instead of the ET, DEM1<aux2SIF1
2 conn doffs, so you only need 1 version of TT1...instead of TT2 another copy or CRF or CSV
    Go pro or go home

So I wanted to pose the question:

If a fleet version of the Chimera/Peghqu'/Rom vet ship was released via the fleet shipyard for 1 module + 20,000 fc, would you buy it?

It would still be exclusive to lifetime/1000-day vets, and be priced similar to a fleet version of an already owned C-Store ship.

Yes i like the lay-out of both ships (fed & kdf) and would get the fleet versions if i could.

Rather than sell fleet versions, I think they should simply update the existing ships with better stats. +.1 shield mod, +10% hull, one more console.

The first lockbox ships had their stats upgraded when fleet ships were introduced to keep them competitive (since there could never be fleet versions of them), and when the Steamrunner was introduced, it was given the stats of a fleet escort right away.

But if they won't give us a free upgrade, then sure, I'd like fleet veteran ships, at least.

Unfortunately, CaptainGeko has stated that they won't bump the stats for free so I'm aiming for the next best thing: treating the Chimera like a C-Store ship.

Yep needs the timers to go from 5mins to 3mins! and an extra console ect fleet version.
It would only make them money to do so;)

Ugh. I don't see why he would do that. There's only two ways to get the vet ships and both of them cost a truckload of cash, so it's not like they're freebie ships. Having the LTS come with a nice fleet level ship would probably be a nice draw to sell a few more. I feel like I want to throw some lockboxes at Geko now lol.

Not that I wouldn't love to see the stats on my Chimera magically boosted, but the vet ships are far from the only perk that comes from either the LTS or vet rewards. They're just a piece of the package.

As it stands the devs are unwilling to simply "give" the vet ships fleet stats and they are hesitant to charge for an upgraded version for fear of backlash. In the mean time my Chimera (which I like very much) is stuck with less optimal stats.

In this case, I'm seeking out the path of least resistance to remove the block between me and a fleet Chimera.

Yes, and I would love to have it with the stipulation that only a Tier 1 Ship Yard be required for this.

Al "Geko" had mentioned in an interview that they didn't want to do fleet versions right away for the Vet ships because they didn't want to say "Here is your free ship, now spend some money and get the fleet version."

They might add fleet versions of the Vet ships at some point in the future.

I'd love being able to get the Fleet version of the Daenos heavy destroyer for Romulans.

    Absolutely, yes.

Agree with most of what has already been said regarding the extra console slot and shorter cooldown time, just can't see it happening.

If they are seriously thinking of doing a fleet version, I doubt it will be until next year sometime.

I am pretty sick of mine at the moment and I think I am going to take the hit and choose another ship. Guess I have some setting up to do at the weekend

Don't see why they just can't boost them to having fleet stats.
After all, they did it for the lockbox ships.
With exception of the latest ones they all had Vice Admiral stats, and got an automatic free upgrade when Fleet Ships were released.

I think the main problem is this: A fleet level 1000 day ship would be one of the best ships in the game for PvE. If they boost the VA ship to that level it will detract from future profits. If they charge for it then people will get annoyed at paying AGAIN for the bumped version and may deter future purchasing through bad publicity.

Personally I hope they buff it to fleet standard, it may detract from some future profits but it won't earn as much ire from people and there will still be the newest OP ships to be bought. Also don't forget a fleet version is still a 9 console ship if you want the really awesome console it comes with.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.

    1000000000% Agreed!

On another note I am going Lifer soon. I was wondering when was the last discounted LTS or do they offer the discount during the Holiday season/New Year or closer to the Anniversary?

Well they made a fleet level version of it so there.
