Borg Engines vs Maco Engines

  I would recommend going with the MACO deflector because it increases your Starship Shield Emitters, Starship Structural Integrity, Starship Shield System, Starship Electro-Plasma System, Starship Inertial Dampers, and Starship Graviton Generators. While the Borg Deflector increases Auxiliary Power, Starship Structural Integrity, Starship Inertial Dampers, Starship Graviton Generators, and Starship Power Insulators. The MACO deflector increases hull and shield hitpoints but the borg only increase hull hutpoints and not shield hitpoints.
  
  For shields on an escort I would go with the Maco or Omega shield, both have high capacities. The Omega has a higher regen rate then the borg shield.
  
  My opinion- Maco deflector, Maco engine, and Omega shield on an escort.

  I use all 3 borg on my FPE, and the hull heal is great, but it also increases your hull regen as a passive 2 set, which improves the 3 set shield heal proc. The borg shield has the highest regen of the the three, but the lowest cap.
  
  I also know people who swear by 2 set borg with maco shields. Really, its up to what you like, and what works best for your build.

  For an Escort i can recommend both, best results you get (IMO) with the combination of borg 2-set deflector and engines and resilient fleet elite shields, if your fleet hasn't unlocked them yet i'd say either borg or maco shields (macos because of the less bleedthrough, that's really useful in escorts)
