Anyone Flown the Corvette Yet?

collegepark2151collegepark2151 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
I have yet to see one in game, though there were a few Breen ships the day that the winter event started after people spent insane amounts of lobi crystals to buy the free ship.

Has anyone flown one yet? How does it handle?

I guess we're about a week or so away from folks finishing the rep to get them, so we'll know more then.

Haven't flown it yet myself, but I saw someone else flying it about the other day. It was smaller then I expected.

I saw one being flown on the first day of the event, I dread to think how much that person spent..

Unless of course it was a dev? Do devs play around on holodeck, or just tribble?

They do, but they have their devs names when they use their "powers" to use ships or anything.
Otherwise, they have a player account which is anonymous. On this account, they play just like anyone else, buying things and grinding for it.

I saw a breen ship the first day of the winter event and spoke to the guy about it.

He said it cost him about 900 lobi, he spent 150m EC opening boxes because he didn't want to grind for it.

I saw one a few days after the event started, but only for a second as it was warping out of regulus sector right after I warped in.

Several people in Starfleet Dental have them, most purchased via lobi. It is a surprisingly good escort. Handles like a bug ship, but not as powerful, but close. Great escort.

Is anybody else reminded of the Barbi corvette when they see these things? Maybe it's just the bright colors but I can't stop laughing when I see them.

I bought mine using ec out of boredom and it is a really nice little ship. I think it is best suited to escort pilots, I can use DHC and turrets and it reminds me of a fleet defiant or a slightly less powerful bug ship as mentioned earlier.
Customisation is pretty amazing though, you have about ten base patterns with around thirty optional patterns like the Orion or Virgo. On top of this you have around 496 colours to choose from and some minor nacelles changes you can make.
To be honest it is well worth the grind as a free ship, handles great and you can really build up your dps. I can't see myself ever using another ship on my main to be honest and I am grinding like everyone else for them on my alts.
Over all although it cost me around 90mil ec to get it early I am glad I did, having so much fun with it right now.
The special console is a little meh but it is kinda fun and I can see it being useful to a certain degree in PVP. I'm VERY happy with this ship but I am a little surprised the people of Risa could make such a violent ship. :D

Yeah the whole idea of peaceful, sunny days on Risa is basically a lie. :P Behind the weather pattern controllers is a planet with terrible thunder storms and downpours. Behind the happy go luck people and bikini's are a race building state of the art warships designed for combat.

One of the sexiest ships out there. Once they fix the color palette it will be one of the best! :D

Risa having a lot of anger/aggression is not odd. How would you feel as risian male if all your women were courted all day by those pesky tourists.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
