Theres a TalShiar lock box in the game files... I think the Scimitar will be the major reward from it.
I don't know how many dozens of times devs have to say the Scimitar won't be in a lockbox before people stop saying its going to be in a lockbox.
Most likely will be a C-Store ship, might be a 3 pack, but considering Dan has stated it won't be the Romulan flag ship, I wouldn't say that is for sure.

I don't remember dan ever stating scimitar wouldn't be the romulan flag ship. But i wouldn't be surprised if it weren't
I realize the Romulan Republic uses a pretty standardized navy of Warbirds, but who's to say they can have a few exotic ships of strictly Reman design floating about - a bit like the Atrox, Kumari or D'kyr mixed in with Starfleet? Reman-specific designs seem especially viable when you've got Obisek rallying a 'freedom force' against the Tal Shiar.

The Scimitar is a REMAN designed and built ship. Not a romulan ship.
I was bummed when I didn't see the Scimitar in the Dev notes and then I was ultra bummed when I didn't see any type of carrier.
I honestly never thought of the Scimitar as a carrier, but it does make sense, and it would be an all out win for me if they did make it a full carrier.

What i would like to see is a carrier that is free to buy, maybe delinthium or something that would be afordable in the exchange, weither that will hapen is another story though :-/
I'd like it if they made a refit of the Morgai into a carrier escort for now, considering their layouts are similar and could be easily tweaked if I'm not mistaken. I have reservations about the Scimitar as that ship is meant to be an extremely powerful dreadnaught. It's also not Romulan design and I'd rather they designed their own carrier in the future with Romulan architecture.
