Horga'hn tufted birds not showing correct mutated colors

The Horga'hn mutated tufted birds are not showing the tufted color changes that should be different from the standard birds. The tufted birds where a different color than the standard ones. After the last patch all my mutated birds changed colors back to the standard colors. The mutated colored birds can still be seen on Risa by the bird raiser doff person so this clearly looks like a bug. I want my passion tufted color schemes back!

here is a pic of what the standard and tufted birds did look like before the last patch

I have noticed this issue as well, though in a slightly different manner:

When the birds are ADULT/blue level, they have the special tufted colors. Yay! (or ICK in regards to the passion wing >.>)

When the birds are raised to SENIOR/Purple levels, though they lose the special colours! Boo!

I know this is a really small thing, but it's been bugging me. I'm not sure if its just a patch issue or what, but i (and others, it seems!) would appreciate this minor fix.

it looks the tufted adult birds have the proper upgraded color scheme. all the other growth levels besides adult it doesnt have the tufted colors. as soon as you go from adult tufted to senior it reverts back to the standard colors.

any info on this problem? this does not look like it should be doing this and it clearly looks like a color palette bug because the epohs dont have this problem. if they designed it to be this way that is just stupid. even tho trading them in for nukara marks is the only reason to raise them since omega and fleet marks are a dime a dozen i want to keep one on each toon for a pet.

I've noticed quite a few bugs with these parrots as well.

I haven't noticed this till you wrote it, but yes, Adult versions of tufted birds I have gain the 'special' coloration. All stages of tufted parrots have the long feathers and slightly more vivid/reflective feathers.

I've observed it a couple times already: a tufted fledgling looks like a basic version, only with long feathers and more vivid/reflective feathers. When raised to adult, it gains the completely different colors shown in the dev blog picture, keeps the long feathers (and is also very shiney overall). When raised again, to senior, it keeps the long feathers and more shiney 'skin', but looses the unique tufted colors.

Until now, I thought the 'tufted' quality had two possibilities of how the bird would look like: 1) gain the unique coloration; 2) keep an 'enhanced' version of the basic coloration. That's what I've been thinking about in this thread: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=11225571#post11225571.
But it seems too much of a coincidence the unique coloration is only observed on adult versions of these parrots. So looks like a bug.

On a similar note, the passion wing is seriously bugged regardless of the 'tufted issues' discussed here.
Look what I get that is described (and can be raised appropriately) as a NON-tufted passion wing: http://postimg.org/image/bo19zt9g7/ Notice the long feathers?
And even better, here's an adult version of a NON-tufted passion wing: http://postimg.org/image/uwnn1ppzh/ This time, it disguises as a seasprey, and very well, might I add.

This is a really confusing issue. I would really like to know if there's a serious bug, or if it's somehow working as intended. I can definitely attest to the passion wing fledgling and adults being bugged, though.

Can the devs let us know if our beautiful tufted adults are supposed to lose their wonderful colors as they age?

So far I've bred the Tufted versions of the Grotto Glider, Passion Wing, and the Sunset Streamer and I can confirm they are the same colors as the non-Tufted versions.

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

Excepting the awfully bugged Passion Wing breed, I've seen all the parrots in basic, Tufted Adult and Tufted Senior states on my 9 chars.

Currently, the Tufted Seniors (as well as the 4 or so Tufted Fledglings I've seen) look like the basic versions, only with a 'shinier' finish and tufts (long feathers).

Tufted Adults, however, look like those on the Dev Blog pic, entirely changing colours in addition to tufts. http://postimg.org/image/5kr6ou829/

1 year later and this simple color pallet bug has still not been fixed :(
I sure would like to turn my tufted adult passion wing into a senoir without it reverting back to the standard color!
