[Ship Pack - KDF / FED ship]

Cryptic, you should come out with a [Ship Pack - B'rel Retrofit / MVAE] similar to the console packs you've introduced for example, [Console Pack - Bio-Neural Warhead / Nadeon Detonator]. To keep it unique it should only be available for one day out of the year (the anniversary of STO or Star Trek franchise) and Bound on Pickup ;)

CLEARLY Cryptic favors FED side more so MVAE can be replaced with whatever for KDF :P


Either the ship pack or... an Ultra Rare [Special Requisitions Pack - Constitution Retrofit] Eh hehehe :D

    CBS said no.

    Fed's can't fly around in BoPs, or In T5 Connies. KDF can't fly Fed ships.

    Also your giving the Klingons the weakest, most outdated Z-Store Fed Escort in return for a competitive ship with Enhanced Battle Cloak.

    It's in no way a fair trade. A standard T5 Hegh'tha Bop does the job of Sci heavy DPS better than the MVAE, the B'Rel Retrofit does it even better.

    If i could fly Klingon Ships with my Fed Cpt why should i then have a Kling Cpt at all or level a Sci and Eng one day to Level 50
    18 Cpt on the way to 60: 14 of them are already 50 or over 50, one is 60 and 3 almost 43

    the consoles sharing is bad enough

    there is no point in 2 factions if they are the same! right now the game is basically red versus blue

    except no one plays red, because they are being neglected, because no plays red

    Too bad; I always liked Griff and Simmons.

    Seriously (and back in the right series), though, my simple question is 'why?'

    Federation players can already acquire the Tactical Escort Retrofit, why do they need the B'Rel Retrofit as well? (Especially since there's no special mission where you have to go back in time to find some humpback whales...)

    The 'fire torpedos when cloaked' is balanced out by the fact that the Retrofit can mount the Refit's Quad Phaser Cannons, so really, the only thing the B'Rel has over the Tac-Escort Retrofit is that it has a Battle Cloak instead of a normal Cloak.


    If anything, I'd say go with a Mirror Caitian Atrox Carrier using the actual Vo'Quv stats for the Federation while the Klingons get a Mirror Varanus Support Vessel based on the Vulcan D'Kyr Science Vessel stats...

    Why would KDF want a Fed ship with a cloaking console that is for all intents and purposes a Qin Heavy Raptor missing a console?

    I get all you want a Federation BoP, but it's not going to happen. And could you at least give us something approaching a fair trade?

    Also KDF has Disruptor Quad Cannons. We really don't want the Phaser variant.

    Personally, I don't care for a Bird-of-Prey. That's what I was talking about in my post with the Tac-E Retrofit, that with it we don't really need one.

    That's why I suggested a Vo'Quv-stat Carrier for the Feds and a D'Kyr-stat Science vessel for the KDF, give both sides something they've talked about wanting.

    No. Just. . .no.

    The console sharing was stupid and unfair enough. I don't want to see how badly the KDF would get shat on when it comes to ship 'trades'. On top of that. . .if you trade ships in such a manner, you might as well just eliminate the Klingon and Romulan factions and have everyone be a part of your big, wonderful 'Federation'.

    I digress. Thanks for all the great points on how this could be a bad idea. But again, its ONE day out of the year. I rarely see people with Worf's sash from the 25th anniversary event and that lasted for 4 days, imagine how much rarer it will be if it lasted only ONE day. So its not like you will be seeing almost everyone have it. And it would be BoP item so it can't be traded like the jem bugs of 2 years ago.

    I could see the KDF use of of the mirror universe escorts, but defiant class? No.

    There is one exchange i would applaud though: Overcharged Plasma Sniper Rifle vs Hirogen tetryon Blast Rifle.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    You know, if you want to use Starfleet or Klingon vessels, there's already a neat in-game option to easily access them ALL. It's called rolling a Federation or KDF character.
