There needs to be hanger bays on carriers. There would only be 1 or 2 active depending on ship.I don't like carrying around my extra fighter in my inventory as they take up space especially when I ma not uisng my carrier.I can not put them in my bank as there is no space and all slots are bought.
It would really be nice to have more hanger space on the carrier ships.

So...you want them to spend time and effort to redesign the carriers just because you don't have enough inventory or bank slots?

So many ways this could be "fixed" without doing something.
1. Use your spare ships to carry spare gear. If you have it in your bank, either it's bound or you don't plan on selling it, else, why keep it in the bank? Rare is it that I have have too many items to sell for the exchange.
2. Ditch the "free" ships. When I got my Recluse, I dropped the free ships. Why? Because they're free, and can be repurchased for free. Why hold onto something that I can get as I wish for nothing? That's easily 2-4 slots right there depending on your loadout, and dil spending for advanced/elite pets.
3. Buy more slots in the bank/inventory/account bank. You don't even have to spend money to get these things, just use the Dil-Zen exchange, and gather what you need, no more, no less, and boom, 12 slots right there (depending on your purchase of course).
4. Sell your items you don't use. Look at your items and ask yourself, "When was the last time I used this?" If it's been more then 2 weeks, odds are pretty good that it won't be coming back in fashion for you. People are creatures of habit generally. If it's absolutely needed for a build, use an older ship as a bank, as stated in 1, and by others. Hell, I use an Orbweaver for a torp ship, and used a Mirror Recon Sci before that for the same purpose.
5. "Sets". I know this one is hard, as I'm a collector of sets myself, Aegis, A. MACO, MACO, Assim, Breen, Jem... the list goes on. However, some things are easier to get then others. If you can get a set for free, and you've not used it in weeks, why not sell it (if it's a free set from missions)? You get money, and more space for doing it, win win.
Now then, reasons why this won't happen (the remaking of carriers).
1. It's unnecessary work. Why would PWE/Cryptic devote resources to such a small "problem" that is a part of the design by nature? You don't see other ships with more console slots that are "not in use" for this reason, or unused weapon slots.
2. It distracts from real, active issues. There is a laundry list of issues here of bug fixes, not the least of which would be random healing of close proximity "allies". Especially frustrating is when you use a Rommy torp, and then Tac team, and have the game decide that you really didn't need that team, but that torp could really use the shield redistribution, or Hazard Emitters, or TFSS.... the list goes on. The same thing with carrier pets as they are being launched or shortly after launch, or mines...
3. Even assuming this is a bug, or actual issue (null issue really, see steps 1-5), "fixing" it (which would likely cause issues in and of itself) would distract from Zen sales (someone has to buy that Zen you trade for on the exchange) and people needing/wanting more space.
It really would be akin to shooting themselves in the foot in time, money, and resources that could be going to fix real issues (of which there are many).
So, hopefully this helped, and try to use a wee bit more sense in the future, eh?

Sounds like you've got the same problem as me: I'm a hoarder too! Can never get myself to toss anything out, it's like that antique feeling on a launch day pet or something like that. My bank is just full of cr*p like that.
More Hangar Bays on Carriers? Well, it would work I suppose but 3 should be max on that. 4 I think would bring in pet spam all over the place. Or at least add hangar bays to "dreadnaught" classed ships like the Odessey, Bortas, Gal X, etc. , bring them on par with the Scimitar on that department so to speak.

There's plenty of space, if you're willing to do what's needed and really need the extra space.
I put my excess hangers in my closet where they're out of the way and won't get stepped on.
